Love our group of pups but I honestly envy the young talent of a few teams . what other young cores out there that you admire?

Bucks (but mostly because of Giannis), Nuggets to some extentend but the best seem to be the T-Wolves. I'd rank us just after them.

Bucks, Twolves, Suns Those are 3 good opponents you want to go see the magic play at Amway where they won't jack up the ticket prices like for the Warriors, Cavs, Knicks.

Depends on what you consider young
Milwaukee(Parker, Middleton, Antetokounmpo, Maker)
Detroit(Jackson, Johnson, Harris, Drummond)
New Orleans(Davis, Hield, Holiday)
Phoenix(Booker, Len, Bender, Labissiere)
Los Angeles(Russell, Ingram, Randle, Nance)
Denver(Jokic, Nurkic, Mudiay, Murray)
Minnesota(Towns, Dunn, Lavine, Wiggins, Rubio)
Boston(Smart, Bradley, Brown, Thomas)
Philadelphia(Okafor, Noel, Embiid, Luwawu, Simmons)
Utah(Hood, Gobert, Exum, Hayward, Prince)
Thunder(Oladipo, Payne, Adams, McGary)

vs.

Payton, Hezonja, Gordon, Fournier,

I personally think we're in the top end team record wise against these young teams but the potential for most of these teams are higher than ours

They play like a team instead of having players play for stats. Boston has the same average age as the Magic but still has been to the Playoffs 3 consecutive years and done damage last year.

Wolves are the runaway team to be most envious of.

Steph, Klay and Draymond trump all actually as they are still young.

We never had the most talented young core, that's why I'm not surprised we're selling them off for vets.

T-Wolves, Bucks, Sixers above us. Minnesota hit the lottery. May genuinely have four players with star potential. It's funny that Dunn's older than KAT, Wiggins, and LaVine. Imagine what those three could look like if they were still in college. Yikes.

Twolves young potential is insane :banghead:

I'm glad they are out west.

Towns/Wiggins/Lavine was a really good core already.. Then they went out hired Thibs and added Dunn who I really liked coming out of the draft :banghead:

I am surprised we don't hear more talk of whether we should have chosen Lavine over Payton... Maybe it's too early. Lavine has fantastic potential as a scorer

Just a list off the top of my head, not a ranking

Depending on what you call young...

Jazz (Exum, Hood, Gobert, Burks, Favors, Hayward)
Bucks (Giannis, Jabari, Middleton, Monroe, Maker,Dellavedova)
Wolves (Towns, Dunn, LaVine, Rubio, Wiggins, Muhammad, Dieng)
Boston (Brown, Smart, Bradley, Olynyk, Crowder)
Detroit (Stanley, KCP, Srummond, Reggie)
Suns (Booker, Knight, Bledsoe, Bender)
Philly (Okafor, Embiid, Saric, Noel, Covington, Simmons, McConnel)
Nuggets (Mudiay, Jokic, Nurkic, Barton, Faries, Harris, Murray)
Lakers (Ingram, Russell, Clarkson, Randle, Nance)
Thunder (Oladipo, Adams, Kanter, Roberson)
Orlando (Gordon, Biyombo, Payton, Fournier, Hezonja, Vucevic)

Well LaVine isn't a PG and we needed a PG.

Cutoff < 24 years old

Davis and Drummond are clearly the best under 24 players right now, so Detroit and New Orleans are sitting pretty. After that it is pretty wide open. I'm happy to root for our young core.

Philly with Simmons, Okafor, Noel, Embiid, Stauskus

Milwaukee with Antetokounmpo, Parker, Maker

Magic with Payton, Gordon, Hezonja

Jazz with Lyles, Prince, Exum

Portland with Vonley

Minnesota with Lavine, Towns, Wiggins, Dunn

Denver with Mudiay, Jokic, Nurkic, Harris, Murray

Detroit with Johnson, Drummond, Pope

Boston with Smart, Brown

Lakers with Russell, Randle, Ingram

Pelicans with Davis, Hield

What's crazy is that Boston is about to get thier prodigy via the Nets pick which projects to be somewhere in the top 7 in a loaded draft class.

So basically, we're envious of teams that we routinely beat, players that had one or two good games, teams that have worse records, and teams with rookies that have maybe gotten about 5 Summer League games under their belt.

Excellent.

Need to put an age on this. Durant, Curry, Klay are still fairly young. Maybe under 25 only?

What was our record against each of those teams last year?
