Yes that is my own Twitter. I'm too lazy to re-type things. :)

Great signs for Orlando and makes a lot of what I wrote here below far less impactful:

Keep up the good work Gordon, Hopefully Elfrid and a couple others are shooting their 500+ 3 pointers per day

Enjoyed the article and appreciate the perspective. I'll be shocked if we have an average offense next season but I am hoping we'll fall in the 16-20 range. If we are going to be above average in any offensive category I expect it will be offensive rebounds. We should really focus on ball control to mitigate our weaknesses shooting the ball and getting to the line.

If Elfrid, Aaron, Mario, and Ibaka can hit the outside shot at a decent clip our offense should be decent enough, not spectacular but decent enough.

Really need Aaron and Elfrid to leap forward this year.

Looking forward to seeing the scrimmage tomorrow. I don't think we will see much of AG. Just glad to see some bball again!

Thanks for the update. But I'll have to see it to believe it.

I've watched every second of all 3 days of scrimmage and practice and he's missing pretty much every shot he takes. Again, I'm not totally sold.

Huh?

Haven't watched day three yet, but this is pretty weird considering I watched it as well and he hit most of them from the first few practice vids I saw. :o :o :o In game it's been hit or miss but I've seen him hit a few of those fade away Dirk leg things, a few quick dunks and some other moves. Of course, he also airballed a few and clanked the others.

The most important thing is repetition and confidence, as well as just making sure his shooting mechanics always stay the same. He looks comfortable out there which is nice to see.

I'm specifically looking at jump shooting during the scrimmages. Saw him hit a couple in day 1, miss a lot yesterday, and didn't see a make in the above video. Not saying Smitty's report is wrong. I imagine he's getting better. The videos just aren't giving me the evidence, unfortunately.

To me, aside from his body catching up to the size of his head, he looks pretty much the same, which is to say I already thought he had a good base for his shot and handles... and that he just needs to put in reps and get more experience to become more consistent. That's going to take time. Not surprised when he makes a 3 or a one-legged fadeaway, just like I'm not surprised when he airballs a jumper or misses a layup... we've been seeing all that for over a year now, not really anything new.

Me too. I counted 7/8 from the D1 practice/scrimmage thing I saw and then the game he was pretty hit or miss. Didn't really watch any other videos though.

Again, in the long run it doesn't really matter. I've also seen Dwight hit a bunch of threes pre-game. He just has to get comfortable out there, which is what I see. I don't think there's an ultimatum on his percentages, only that he hits more open shots than he misses because people are going to probably disrespect his jumper for a bit.

Like last year, when he hit a few threes in a row he would shy away the next possession as he's being left alone at the top of the key. This year year I want him to punish that.

Confidence is the biggest factor. What I've liked out of the USA scrimmages is the zero hesitation in letting it fly. From all the footage I've seen just going off the top of my head, I'd say he's around 3-6 or 3-7 from 3.

I too noticed the Dirk one legged jumper. Saw him break it out in that pro am game as well. Could be a staple move for him moving forward.

I just saw a 32 min video on you tube and he made ONE jump shot! He air balled a wide open shot with nobody on him. Guys pls remember, it DOES NOT matter how many shot he makes in practice with nobody on him. It's matters in game situations and he looked the same to me in scrimmages sad to say. I still feel he is a PF not a SF. He just doesn't have a smooth offensive game like stars do at that position.

oh well, remember when Rose was hurt but was still doing shootarounds. He once made 27 threes in a row , if i coutned them well, anyway, in game he is below 30% shooter for 3 and one of worst among starting PGs. Bottom line is that is practice. Real game is another story. I hope Gordon will develop jumper . But he won't go from being all around awful ( like last year) into good shooter over one summer.
