Dunk City in Orlando?

I know it's way too early for this idea but Could you imagine Rob going after Blake Griffin hard for several reasons if Ibaka doesn't work out in Orlando!
He tried to trade for him during the 2015-16 season.
We would instantly be one of the most exciting team to watch! (Even though I like the potential Biz and Ibaka front court)
AG and BG all day!

Even I could admit that a Griffin/Biyombo pairing I don't think looks that great and wouldn't be compatible but I'd still be excited to watch AG and Blake.

I'm not a huge fan of Blake anyways, but I don't think AG/Blake/Biyombo would be a winning group. And I don't believe Blake would fit well next to Vuc either. The way our roster is constructed, Ibaka>>Griffin

I'd rather slide Gordon back down if he struggles this season, and get a legit shooting, scoring SF. Ibaka/Gordon/Vuc/Biz front court is nasty. We don't need Griffin in that situation.

Probably not getting Griffin without giving up AG.

I think we're going to be "dunk city" without a guy like Griffin. We have the front court athleticism to do it already.

I'd much rather us be known in the league for blocks, not dunks - that's already taken.
Swat Team *my favorite*

He was proposing if it didn't work out retaining Ibaka possibly signing Blake.

There is no situation where Ibaka is better than Blake. If that is the conclusion you come to, then it's time to reevaluate your team.

On the clippers with Chris Paul and Deandre Jordan I think Ibaka would be just as impactful as Blake. The clippers would have the best defensive front court in the NBA and Ibaka/CP3 pick in roll is nasty because both guys are knock down mid range shooters so you pick your poison on going under or over the screen. It would open up the paint more for DJ too.

This thread highlights how important Payton is in running Orlando's offense. Bring on the wins !!!

People here act like Ibaka is 2003 Ben Wallace. Blake is a top 15 player, I'm not even sure Ibaka is top 50.

Blake top 15. lol This guy is so overrated. Him and Vuc could lead a team to 40 wins, maybe.
If LA had Ibaka the last 5 years they would've made at least 1 finals.

...aaaaand you have invalidated your basketball opinion.
I won't even go that far. But you are severely overstating Ibaka's impact. A team with Ibaka and Russ Westbrook couldn't even make the playoffs.

I won't get into the Blake thing, but Ibaka missed 18 games that season, Russ missed 15 and they still won 45 games. You make it sound worse than it was.

Ibaka missed games at the end of the season when they were pretty much giving up any way, and then they went on to immediately win 6 out of 7 and get back into the playoff picture without him. With Ibaka they were 35-29 which equates to a 45 win team. That's a far cry from Ibaka+CP+Deandre is a Finals team.

At the beginning of the season though a lot of those games they were playing with no Westbrook or Durant. Obviously Blake is a better overall player than Ibaka, but you seem to be understating Ibaka's worth as a player just to make a point. I mean... I think it's pretty clear that had Ibaka and Westbrook played closer to 82 games they would have made the playoffs even in the tough West. They almost did with 45 wins which is nothing to sneeze at.
