Magic Sign Damjan Rudez

Free agent Croatian forward Damjan Rudez has a deal for a next season contract with the Orlando Magic. According to Eurohoops sources the two sides agreed to terms and the official announcement is expected soon.

A gifted shooter, Rudez signed a three-year contract with the Indiana Pacers back in 2014 and during the 2014-15 season led all rookies in the three-point shooting percentage.

PF with range; also appears to have good bbiq and a willing passer. Played for Vogel, and one of our new assistants, Adelman, from Minnesota. Adds more versatility to our lineups. He'll space the floor plenty for Biz.

Augustin/Hezonja/Green/Rudez/Bismack - tons of space and range with a dominant C.

Rudez brings 3PT shooting only. But, he's hell of a shooter.

Besides that, he's Croatian so Mario will help in his transition.

The dude is 30 and has been in the league longer than Mario.

But anyway, i wonder what the thought process was in this signing.

Body for garbage minutes (our new human cigar), practice (good to practice vs a stretch 4), and floor spacing. Anyone expecting more will be disappointed.

Extremely underrated move, once he gets hot there's no stopping him. Him playing next to Biyombo makes too much sense. Very good collab acquisition from Henny/Vogel.

How long before first media outlet gives us a D for this signing? They'll say:

"They should've kept Ilyasova, who's better. Even more reason to see they grossly overpaid for Ibaka. Their front court was extremely crowded before; now it's even worse. Rudez will take time away from Gordon at the backup PF"

He sucks, thanks God he is not in Croatia roster anymore.

Great 3pt shooter that went like 1-19 last tournament he played for Croatia.

Orlando had a need at the 14th slot for a PF. One that can shoot, sounds like a perfect practice squad player to me!

Rudež job is to help Ibaka, Gordon, and Biyambo stay fresh in practice.

I love this move.
