Magic's radio game seriously lacking

I noticed that the Magic don't have their local radio game together. For one, the Magic are still on AM radio, while Orlando City is on FM. Come on now there is no excuse for that, you are an NBA franchise. Two, because of Adubato's health issues he doesn't travel for away games so poor Dennis Newman has to call away games by himself. I feel bad for him, and makes the Magic appear cheap for not having an analyst. I think is time to replace Adubato and get Dennis some help. Why don't the Magic get their radio game right?

You're right. This AM crap is for the birds. Hopefully they'll get it right.

I don't even know if the Magic are making money tbh. But you know damn well Orlando City is killing it. That might have something to do with it. These are businesses after all.

Folks listen to games on the radio? I agree that it's business; I don't think there is enough interest to warrant a radio stream of the game. If I'm in the car, I usually let the game ride on the fox sports app or NBA app on my phone.
Conversely, I find TV 27 (game most OCSC games are televised on) to be the AM of television.

If I'm on the road I listen to the game on the radio since I don't want to kill my data. But quality is awful, they can do better. If Orlando City can do it so can they. You go to other major cities and their games are on FM.

Dude.
The MLS tv deal is $720 million over 8 years.
The NBA tv deal is $24 BILLION over 9 years.
I don't think anyone is starving here -- but you realize the ENTIRE tv deal for MLS is less than what a single team receives in the NBA. Apples to Elephants.

You can listen to the Spanish broadcast on FM (98.1).

ESPN 580 could get an FM partner if they wanted. They just choose not to.
Dennis Neumann is the man. We're lucky to have had him and David Steele (who was the radio guy prior to Dennis) for as long as we have. As great of men as you think they would be.
Orlando Magic Radio has done a few 'podcasts'. The Penny one was good.
And yes, local Magic 'on air' coverage has been lacking overall. That's why I've been doing my own thing.

Not spectacular, but still better than many other cities radio broadcasts.

I think our tv game is seriously lacking. David Steele is okay but Jeff Turner is terrible

Turner doesn't really bring substance to the broadcast.
I absolutely can not stand the Kapaya thing
I miss Goukas.
