Magic Waive Three

The Magic have waived Cliff Alexander, Branden Dawson and Kevin Murphy.
None of the three played much and could be headed to Erie.
The roster now stands at 16 with Damien Rudez, Arinze Onuaku and Nick Johnson the only players left on make good contracts.
Rudez seems likely to make the team while Onuaku is a long shot and Johnson is likely around as a point guard option for the preseason.

I think Rudez makes the team. We should keep Johnson around, send him to Erie.

Read at OS or somewhere that we intend to have 14 players only.
I will be appalled if Rudez gets cut.

I doubt Rudez will get cut, but someone in a game thread was telling me he was a lock to be here due to his contract and that's simply not the case at all.

Is Orlando going with 16 players for the final pre-season game?

Keith made this point on Twitter, may affect when the cut happens:

Don't be surprised if some teams wait until Mon to make roster cuts. Have to pay 2 days of regular season salary but keeps D-League rights.

Well: will it be Onuaku, Johnson or both to get their pink slips? For the above, Orlando must cut one player now, no matter what, to get to a 15-man roster.

I'd cut both. What Onuaku does on the court, is easy to find via D-League.
With both CJs actually able to play SG, we have 4 players who can cover that until Meeks gets in the rotation.
Maybe we can snag a promising young player on the waiver wire?

Rudez and Onuaku make the team, Johnson and Galloway likely to Erie.

Rudez seems like a guy with a great attitude.
