The best short term solution

We need to get Brandon Knight somehow. He has fallen out of favor in Phoenix with the emergence of Devin Booker and he was really a poor fit to begin with with Bledsoe. We need scoring and shooting from our PG and he's a good fit.
Our team needs an Alpha dog and a scoring guard. Knight fits the bill in more ways than one. He is on just the second year of a long term contract valued at 70 million and is just 24 years old.
He was nearly an all star in 2014-15 scoring 20 a game and leading Milwaukee to about a 30-20 record before Kidd traded him for MCW and their team played much worse for the rest of the season but still made the playoffs.
Knight can score the **** out of the ball. I say we get him.

Sounds like a Devos move. No thank you. Honestly, I would trade a few of our guys for future 1st's if possible and prepare for the draft. Then look forward to free agency and cleaning house.

Bucks fans hated his game and now Suns fans do too.
Actually, you know what, let's do it. And then when you blame Hennigan a year later for trading for such a crappy player on a significant contract, I can bump this thread.

Still only 6 games so not a large sample size yet. Carroll + a 1st for Ibaka is sounding better and better by the day though

He's not a crappy player!
The Bucks got way worst after they traded him because they lost all their shooting and spacing. That and they wanted to hand the reigns over to Gianni's and rightfully so.
We don't have a guy like Gianni's but we have some solid players we just need someone to rely on to put the ball in hoop and someone To spread the floor. We have too much defense we might as well get a guy who is an offensive player.

I personally wouldn't pull the plug on this team yet, but I'd be calculating the appropriate time to do so. This just isn't going to happen while Hennigan is in charge though. I mean, perhaps he has the job security to pull it off, but I really doubt it. As long as he is running things, this team is going to try to figure it out and fight for a playoff spot.

knight isnt a sharp shooter, so anyone who thinks that needs to look closely at him. He is a better shooter than most on this team, but he ISNT some great shooter

Knight can't shoot, can't dribble, can't pass, can't defend, did i say he can't shoot? he makes Biyombo look like Curry. But problem is that he belives he can do everything he can't. One of stupidest players in whole league . Number of braindead shots he is willing to take is just epic.
He fall of Suns favor because he shoots 32% FG, and that's just 8% below his career average.
He is scoreer, for better or worst, and in most times it means for worst. For 3 years in a row he is below average 3 point shooter. Just bad player overall. Pretty much another Lance Stephenson, Waiters type player. Btw dude is pissed off every game, mirroring this Lance image even more.

A 5 year rebuild shouldn't come down to a mediocre short sighted move. Goes against everything Hennigan has stated

Demage was already done with Oladipo and Harris traded for cap space and 33 years old guy who lies about his age for $$

You're right, it has gone against what he has stated. But talk is cheap man. Look at what he DID.
Tobias trade
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orlando-magic/os-magic-trade-tobias-harris-0217-20160216-story.htmlOladipo trade
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orlando-magic/os-magic-victor-oladipo-serge-ibaka-20160623-story.htmlThis trade is different than those bothj of those trades we made them to get guys on expiring deals.
Knight is already signed long term at market value.

He is a career 36 percenter from deep.
What is Payton shooting? PAYTON HAS A .442 TS% AND HE'S ONLY TWO YEARS YOUNGER THAN KNIGHT!!

So you replace one trash for another, more expensive one? Knights TS is around 52% for career , that's still below leagues average.
Read Suns fans comments about him, they would trade him for nothing, top 59 protected pick.
This year he is so damn bad. He is both, offensive and defensive box plus minus negative, has 2,3TO on 2,6 apg.
He is just bad . Can't even say that he is fools gold when everybody see what he is - low efficiency, high usage shot jacker that doesn't care about winning.

Knight isn't trash. He is not a pass first PG, but he is solid defensively and can shoot. I would be all in for trading Elf for him. That would be a big upgrade to me.

We just signed Augustin to a four-year deal and we still have Watson on the roster. I'd much rather see Augustin moved into the starting five than to see us give up anything of value for Knight, who I'd place only slightly higher than Brandon Jennings in my personal point guard wishlist.
