If the Magic trade Ibaka...

As I have watched a few of the Magics games this year I have come to not like Ibaka on our roster at all as many of you can agree to that. What is the minimum value you would accept for him? Young player with potential like WCS? Trade him for a mid first round draft pick and filler? What would it take? Personally I would ship him out for a first round draft pick of any kind. 2017 will be a deep draft and we might be able to get a sleeper in the draft.

Ibaka has little trade value as he exits as a free agent. If there was not an exploding cap, he would have value as an expiring contract. But I cannot see a team trading for one of those given how flush all teams are.

find a team that's so desperate to make the playoffs that you can extract good futures, ala the nets/celtics trade. a team that could implode soon and can lead to us getting some high picks.
this guy doesn't fit here, he is either out of shape, doesn't care, or not very good anymore.

Trade scenario is suggesting that the Warriors will send Thompson to the Magic in exchange for Serge Ibaka, Mario Herzonja, Aaron Gordon and a 2017 first-round pick.
LINKThis is an awful trade for Orlando. Fournier and Thompson are redundant. The Magic would have no depth so that 2017 pick could be top-3. And Orlando would no longer have any of its previous draft picks (Payton was traded for).
Awful suggestion from the Internet.

This exactly. I think a few teams would entertain a trade for him. Maybe Toronto, Portland, Houston, Miami, or Charlotte would have interest in him. He would be a better fit with those teams than ours.

Ibaka hasnt lost it. He may not be able to find it right now for whatever reason, but he hasnt lost it. Give it time. His greatest value to us is if he stays right here and improves.

Vogel must wake him up! He's the coach, he should know.

At least Ibaka still has the best PER of that trade. He has 16 and Sabonis/Oladipo have 12.
I'd give him more time, maybe we will learn how to play with him, but if he doesn't improve, I'd trade him by the trade deadline.
I'd love to bring Cousins for him + Vucevic + whatever it takes. We need a superstar.

Vucevic + Oladipo + Harris + #12 for Cousins?
Oh wait..

I predict Toronto trades for him at the deadline in their push to challenge Cleveland. They tried hard to obtain Ibaka in the offseason, reportedly.

Believe Boston, Toronto or Portland would be possible destinations.
Send us Jaylen Brown!

That would be optimal, but I doubt Ibaka can get Jaylen, but Boston has a few players that could play roles on this team.

Terrence Ross could be a player Orlando might want from Toronto. Ross + 1st ???
Orlando would be:
Payton/Augustin
Fournier/Meeks
Ross/Hezonja
Gordon/Green
Vučević/Biyombo

I just can't support Henny anymore. That seriously would probably get it done at this point.

This is what I am thinking. I can see this happening.

Doubt that rumor has any legs to it. Awful trade for Golden St not us. Klay Thompson is one of the best 2 way players in the game. We'd get the best player in that deal by far. Whats does Golden st get? One year of a washed up Ibaka, a bust in Mario Herzonja, high potentail player in Gordon but lets be real, his value is no where enough for Klay. Unless that 2017 pick is unprotected Goldent St would laugh at that trade. Even if it was they'd still laugh just not as hard.

I'd make that trade, but I can't believe Ibaka would command that kind of value.

lol that would've never gotten it done.
Just cus Ibaka had a slow start doesn't mean Oladipo had been lighting the world on fire.

Have you been following the Cousins rumors lately?

I'm sorry but trading our two best assets (Mario && Ag) plus Ibaka and a first rounder for Klay is a terrible trade for us. You think this trade is laughable? I can't see any scenario where Gsw would laugh at this trade, we'd be giving up a hell of a lot for their third best player. I don't think they're trading him anyways.
