Dec. 1 @ Memphis: Orlando is 18-21 all-time vs. Memphis (12-7 at home, 2-13 at Memphis, 4-1 at Vancouver) during regular
season action, including 1-1 last season…Orlando snapped a nine-game losing streak to Memphis on Apr. 3 (119-107 win @
Orlando) but have lost 12 of the last 18 meetings overall…The Magic have won six of the last 11 matchups at home, but lost 13
of the 15 overall meetings in Memphis…Jeff Green played in 98 games during parts of two seasons with the Grizzlies (2014-15,
2015-16)…C.J. Watson played 119 games during four seasons at the University of Tennessee from 2002-06.

Josh Robbins
Elfrid Payton, who rolled his right ankle Tuesday, will play tonight against Memphis, Payton and Frank Vogel said.
Jodie Meeks will not play tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised if he plays tomorrow in Philly or later on this trip.

Josh Robbins
The Grizzlies list 6 players as out tonight: Vince Carter, Mike Conley, James Ennis III, Chandler Parsons, Zach Randolph & Brandan Wright.

The last time the Magic won in Memphis, the Magic started Carlos Arroyo, Maurice Evans, Hedo Turkoglu, Rashard Lewis & Dwight Howard.

The Magic are one of only two teams (GSW) with two players (Ibaka, Biyombo) ranking in the top 15 in blocks.

Josh Cohen
The Magic rank No. 2 in @NBA in opponent 3-point% (32.9) and opponent 3-pointers made (7.7 per game).

Nikola Vucevic is averaging 18.0 PPG & 11.4 RPG over his last five games vs. Memphis, shooting 51.3% (38-74 FG) over that span.

"It's great," Fournier said. "I really started from the bottom. When I got drafted, I was not playing. I had to work my way up. Then I got traded, came off the bench, then became a starter. I had to earn everything. So to have an opportunity to be a primary perimeter option on the offense is really something that I really enjoy. I'm really looking forward to the challenge. It's great. As a player that works hard, that's a great reward. Now I've got to be able to make the right play and have Coach's back for putting me in that situation."

Missing this one, hope we take advantage of their injuries and pull out another win.

Man this game is critical for us to win. Mem is on a back to back flying in from the road, they have several key players out, we have to win this game. No if and but's about it we have to win or the SA game meant nothing. Memphis has a very good defense too. We havent won there since 2008, its about time we get a W in Tennesse just like we did in SA.

Yeah, this is a must win game for sure. We need to show that the confidence gained from the SA win was legit.

this is the third time I felt like we are playing a possible turning point kinda game this season.
first was against chicago when we had the chance of having a winning record, we got blown out.
second was when we were 6-7 against bucks, after we beat mavs and pels. we blew that one also and gone on a 4 game losing streak afterwards.

hope third times the charm.

Will we turn the road? Will we finally capitalize on a must win? Will the defense be elite once more?

I suspect they will lean heavily on Gasol's passing tonight. Btw, it's crazy how many centers are shooting 3s now. Gasol is taking 3.6 per game on good percentage. Vogel needs to give Vuc the complete green light. Get Ibaka taking more, too.

Hasn't stopped the Magic from losing games like this before.
Scrub watch in effect.
I'm going with Troy Williams 20 and 10.

This is a really, really good time to be playing Memphis. Between Vooch, Ibaka and Biz, we should be able to handle and wear out Gasol.

Time for Tony Allen to hit some 3s. Wade Baldwin looks to have fallen out of the rotation before Conley's injury (SD can correct me if I'm wrong), but he had a good game against us in the preseason. I bet he's amped up for this one. He hasn't hit double digits in a game yet (closest he got was 8), so I bet that's his goal tonight.

Harrison is going AI on us.

Still I predict an easy win. There's literally absolutely no reason for us to lose this game and for that reason alone we might lose lmao.

Wow that Memphis lineup is horrendous. Interesting that Vegas only has us -3.5 though. This may end up being a little closer than it should be.. nothing comes easy
