I didn't know whether this belonged in the positivity thread or not, but if it does, mods please feel free to merge.
Just wanted to give praise to Biz, Vuc, and Serge for how they've been playing as of late. They've come on really strong and are figuring out how to play off each other.
Also, praise Vogel for making the lineup change he did a few games ago. I didn't know how Biz would fare with the starters and Vuc with the second unit, but it has worked out thus far. The team is defense is one of the best in the league based on the numbers and the eye test.
Earlier in the year I wasn't opposed to trade any of our bigs but at this point I'd rather hang on to them and see what we can get for Payton, Hezonja, Gordon, and Green. It's clear that we have to upgrade the 1 and the 3 positions. This team could be really good with play makers at both spots.

Agreed. The trio of bigs have found a nice chemistry together and I'd rather not break that up. Initially thought trading Vucevic was going to be a forgone conclusion, but he's probably been our best defender in the frontcourt and is really turning into a 2-way player. Vucevic is playing some of the best ball of his life and I like where Vogel is taking him. Fournier continues to be steady and AG, despite his shooting struggles, has done everything else well.
20 games in and I feel like this team needs a tweak (a point guard) and it'll be set up for long term success. Whether that comes via trade this season (Payton, Hezonja, Green, etc.), draft, or free agency, I'm more inclined to see this team continue to play hard and win games and hope an opportune situation presents itself. 4th in DRTG is exactly where they wanted to be when the season started, but it hasn't translated to wins yet. However, now that the defense has come along, I think they're closer to a fringe 8 seed than they are rock bottom of the league. Keep it rolling and let's see if something breaks our way via trade or draft/free agency in the offseason.

Account wasn't hacked. I've been critical because this team is poorly constructed, but the trio of bigs has been phenomenal lately and they (along with coach) needed to be praised.
I've been a magic fan for 20+ years and will always be one. I still think that change needs to happen at the 1 and 3 for us to be a playoff team because as good as our defense has been, our offense isn't on an NBA a level and I can't see it improving much given the cast of characters we currently have.
I'd do something like:
Orlando In:
Rudy Gay
Brandon Knight
Orlando Out:
Jeff Green
CJ Watson
Elfrid Payton
Mario Hezonja
Future Magic 1st
2016 Second round pick
----------------
Phoenix In:
Mario Hezonja
Jeff Green
2016 Second round pick
Phoenix Out:
PJ Tucker
Brandon Knight
----------------
Sacramento In:
CJ Watson
Elfrid Payton
PJ Tucker
Future Magic 1st
Sacramento Out:
Rudy Gay
That balances out the roster.

Then our board would bitch next year because we traded our youth for two vets that aren't very coveted around the league.

Yeah no to Rudy Gay and Brandon Knight. I'd rather ride it out with Augustin in the starting lineup for now, and Payton coming off the bench. Either Payton grows from this or we look elsewhere for a long term PG solution next year.

Shout out to Stephen Zimmerman who has played 2 really nice games for the Bayhawks. He might turn out to be a pretty good 2nd round pick. Maybe.

I'd still consider trading EP and Jeff Green.

A : That's a terrible trade, as Brandon Knight is not that good and on a big contract and Rudy Gay is not going to contribute that much to this team. Maybe you should start praising Aaron Gordon too, since he is showing flashes at the same position.
B: You are not saying anything that more positive people have been saying all along. We all know we need a playmaker at PG. Yet while you were complaining incessantly, many of us were already high on the potential of the frontcourt that you have just come around on. You know, the guys you used to call the team heartless and gutless? The only difference is that we didn't make a thread about it, like it was a revolutionary opinion that no one had thought of before.

I think he definitely will. The guy was a steal in the second round to be quite honest. He just needs to add some size.

It took Ibaka, Vuc and Biz time to find their rhythm in the offense and defense. It took Vogel time to help them find that rhythm.
We're building in steps, and now that we've got that looking good, let's give Vogel and AG some time to see if they can give us more impact out of the SF position. They changed the way they've been using him against Philly, and it worked. Let's give it some more time.
This team will be figuring things out right up until the allstar break. We gotta be patient in the rough times and enjoy the good ones.

Don't believe these two underlined. Second that is way too much to give up for Gay and Knight.

Imo if Vuc, biz and Serge keep playing this well together id be willing to keep Payton and AG to see how things shake out.

You don't believe I've been a magic fan for 20+ years? Interesting, considering I've been a poster on realgm since 2003 alone and many posters on here can attest to me being on the magic board the entire time. Changed my user name a few times. Started with tmac_orl, then d12_orl, then RawLewD12, and now NEM because I got tired of my favorite players leaving. I'll always be a fan. I don't like this current team or it's GM but continue to watch and even spend money by going to games.
Also, my account wasn't hacked. Idk how to prove that, but yeah definitely wasn't hacked. I was/am negative about this team because it is clearly flawed, yet the person responsible for that is nowhere to be found. Not a rumor of him trying to improve on his mistakes. Nothing. When the team is good and they're winning, I don't bitch. I defend them against the ones bitching. Sorry for wanting my team to be better than they have been..
