Poll: Is Aaron Gordon tradeable ?

Post#1 » by drsd » Tue Jan 10, 2017 7:52 pm

There is solar views on Gordon and I thought, as this is trade season, we can reflect on these in the democratic way.

For me the discussion is broader than just, "should Orlando keep Gordon?" There are gradations of what that mens. So the poll.

If you are shopping for Jimmy Butler type guy he is only thing you can offer that has any value ( along with unprotected first rounder in 2017 )

Yes, anyone on this roster is available for the right trade.

We as a franchise have a history of making questionable aka stupid decisions. Being that, trading Aaron Gordon will be the single most regrettable move this franchise commits. But sadly, nobody on this roster is untouchable.

I'm willing to listen, give me a reason to change my opinion. why is Gordon so untradeable? I have yet to see anything that says "future multiple all-star". a random game here or there, thats it. Brandon Jennings scored 50 pts in a game, doesnt mean he was a good player.

No I'd say being cheapskates and not paying Shaq back in the 90's was this franchise's most regrettable move.

Only if he's included in a package to get an all star in his mid 20s, but who is going to give up a young star for our non-stars? Would not trade him for an aging all star like Millsap that's for sure.

Every single player in this league is "tradeable" so I don't know how we are supposed to respond to a statement regarding a player yet to truly emerge on a bad team.

Yes, if the right trade offer comes along then we can trade AG. But he is still on an outdated rookie scale contract for two more seasons and is starting to show us the talent we hoped for. So that offer better be BIG!

Unless we have a shot at landing Jimmy Butler or Paul George, I rather keep AG and cont watching him grow.

Of course he isn't untouchable, a bit dramatic. But we shouldn't deal him unless a deal was for a legit star.

He's grown this year and I thought his transition to the three would be a little easier but even if he switches back to the other position later on, everything he is doing now against small forwards will come in handy against power forwards lager (if that's the route they go).

Butler and Paul George are out of any trade discussion with the magic. So i would say no. Let the trade discussion dissapear and let him grow without any concerns or doubts. Its easier that way.

Everyone is tradeable for the right player. Personally, I'd like to see AG continue here. He is growing by leaps and bounds this year.

depends heavily on the deal, i wouldn't be shopping AG for scraps at all but if there's a deal to be made for a legit player then no one on our roster is untouchable.

I don't mind really. I'm so disenchanted with our franchise and how it's run. I'll just enjoy watching AG and EP on whatever other team they go to.

He's tradeable, but we won't trade him because we value him more than other teams value him. If they were to give up a star, then we would, but other teams aren't giving up a star for him. It's in our best interest to keep him.

I'm sure the Nets would offer Brook Lopez for him. How's that for ya? lol

AG is 21, I wouldn't trade him unless it's for one of only a handful superstars players not older than 26. locked up on a multi year contract. So yea....not happening and actually even then I'm not sure.

The way I see it, we're not one great player away from anything at this moment and the only players I see could improve greatly right now for us are AG and maybe Mario even though I never really had high hopes for him, at best I expected him to hopefully be a more athletic Stojakovic. So if we could get a great player without giving up AG it makes sense because he has the potential to be great as well. But if we give up AG for someone like Cousins, we are still mediocre, just like the Kings going nowhere and even if we get lucky in the draft, it would take a few years before that player develops.

Idk, I prefer taking my chances with 21 year old AG.

but that isnt going to happen. Why would a team trade a star for AG?

We're 16-23, why is this even up for debate? Of course he's tradeable, as is every other player in this poorly constructed roster.

More athletic Peja? You're delusional if you think his potential is anywhere near Stojakovic. If he ended up half the player, his career would be a success. Unfortunately for him, he's on track to be a career D leaguer.
