With this disaster of a season coming to a close, the Magic sit with the 5th best odds of winning the right to pick 1st on June 22, 2017. He NBA draft lottery is set to take place on May 16, 2017. Here's how the field looks:
Lottery order:

4. Sixers 28-54, 11.9%***
5. Magic 29-53, 8.8%
6. Wolves 31-51, 5.3%
7. Knicks 31-51, 5.3%
8. Kings 32-50, 2.8%****

*-Celtics have right to swap picks with Nets (Garnett trade)
**-Lakers pick is conveyed to Sixers if Lakers fall out of top 3 (Carter-Williams trade)
***-Sixers have right to swap pick with Kings (Stauskas trade)
****-Kings pick goes to Bulls if it falls out of top 10 (Hickson trade)
*****-Pelicans pick goes to Kings as long as it doesn't end up in top 3 (Cousins trade)
-----------------------------------------------
May the odds be ever in your favor!

Man the Lakers only have two less wins than us. We could (and should) try like hell to get them out of the top 3. And in the meantime pick up a franchise player.

Tied for fifth (3 way tie, but Minny is leading big). I'm quite happy right now. We better not start winning all of a sudden. This is huge.

Yes! We needed this kind of thread. Twolves are on verge of beating nets and moving down the 7th. That means we move to the 5th and are range to draft either Jackson or Isaac.

Not bad... but we need the fire of a guy like DSjr. Lets keep this tank going.

It would be nice if we lost 30 straight while AG and Elf go off.

theres no point tanking (not that we need to TRY to tank), because even if we finish with the worst record, the lotto will just **** us anyways like it did the past 5 years, only year we got a good pick was the one year with no franchise players at the top, every year we miss out on an elite level player by 1 pick, i dont expect this year to be any different

Shhh... He can't play defense and is a turnstile. He hasn't and won't ever improve there with his limited mobility and will always be an offense only player no matter what scheme a coach runs.

For reasons that boggle the mind, Miami is on a 7-game wining streak and just caught Orlando in the standings.

That won't last since dragic will be traded. That's why if we're going to tank we need do it now while other teams aren't.

It is not about luck, it was purely lack of plan put us into this disaster. Organic growth my ass. A few meaning less wins and firing JV during the process of a needed hard tank is why we miss out on Embiid and Porzingis. Because of missing on these prospect, we traded Dipo for a 1 year rental and paid gigantic trunk of money to BB.
