Magic turned down deal for Cousins early in the season?

FWIW, Ric Bucher reported Magic turned down trading Vučević/Fournier or picks for Cousins early in the season.
When it rains, it pours.
IMHO, I kinda doubt we would turn down such a deal for franchise player, but share your thoughts.

"Hennigan apparently was concerned about both re-signing cousins this summer and building the franchise around another high maintenance big man."
two things wrong with this.... 1) cousins is a free agent in the summer of 2018, not 2017. 2) hennigan has failed to produce a star in every way during this rebuild (draft, free agency, trade)... the guy has got to be desperate for one at this point... there is no way non-star fournier and vuc who he wanted to replace with biyombo prevent him from trading for cousins.

Been saying it since day 1. I really doubt henni goes for Cousins because of Cousins' character.

That's such laughably terrible value for Boogie, no chance it's true.

This seriously just feels like another way for the media and other fanabases to clown us. It's the cool thing to be anti-Magic right now. That deal is laughable. We could trade our whole starting five and give the entire kings organization season passes to disney and they wouldn't trade Cousins here. This media hate is getting really old.

Lol. So according to sources we could've made the following deals this season:
Vuc + draft picks for Cousins
Fournier + Hezonja + assets (let's say Gordon) for Butler
Green + Augustin for Jackson
Cousins/Biyombo
Ibaka
Butler
Meeks
Jackson/Payton
The All Sauce team looks alright on paper but I reckon would be a Knicks style disaster on the court.

That offer is not enough, but is Payton, Fournier and Vuc enough?

If there's one GM that would turn down such an offer, it's Hennigan.

This is a leak by the Magic office to build value of their guys. There is no way the Kings do this trade. We should all know this.

Boogie s value is low. Gms don't want the headache. Fans over value him big time

The Orlando Sauces sounds kind of catchy. That's also about $120M in resigned cap for a starting five haha.

On paper a front court AG +serge +dmc could have been great but that s only on paper. You can give dmc the max, this guy is messed up

Two bad teams making bad decisions in a bad trade?
I believe it.
