This is a deal you would support?

Support? Meh it doesn't move the needle in either direction. The reason I can see it happening is because magic have been allegedly looking for wings, scoring, and guards, lakers trying to get a second round pick for swaggy.

Would be great for entertainment purposes to watch swaggy p chuck away for 24 games lol. Would also help with the tank I think.

It's going to be an anxious day, a part of me thinks we'll do nothing, I really want to see the vets (Green, CJ, DJ, Meeks) all dumped for 2nd round picks etc. If a potential big trade can happen with Vucevic and Fournier with no 2017 first for an allstar or picks (Brooklyn pick next year and Amir Johnson?), then I'm for that, and that Vogel "teaching these guys to win" means we roll out with Payton/Ross/Hezonja/Gordon/Biyombo, lose a lot of games, get a lot of experience, pick up a legit star in the 17 draft, and build from there. That's what I want from this deadline

Out of left field, Nick Young for Jodie Meeks and a 2nd round pick. We're still trying to make the playoffs..

Wow Mike and Mike on espn are talking about the comment Frank Vogel made about says tanking is not an option for the Magic. I can't believe the Orlando Magic are being talked about on Mike and Mike.

Who is dsj, Kennard and motley and how did we land them?

No idea why anything is being made of this. No coach will come out and say I plan to deliberately lose. Even Brett Brown didn't do it at the height of the Sixers' tanking.

I agree with those saying a trade is coming from left field. I would not be surprised if we cash-in on guys like Vuc, Fournier, Payton, or even Gordon if a nice 1st is in play. We need to hit the restart button on this rebuild. Payton/Gordon are not the future of this team and Vuc/Fournier are too talented to send out each night and try to tank.

I think the most likely guys to go are Vuc and Payton. A lot of good lead guards available at the top of this draft with our 1st. I wouldn't mind shipping Payton out for a mid-1st to add depth via the draft.

There is always worst case scenario that Hennigan feels he's on the chopping block and goes all-in to try and make the playoffs (i.e. a trade for Wilson Chandler, or some other middling vet). Less likely now that we have Ross imo.

Dennis Smith Jr. = DSJ

IDK who the other two are. DSJ is supposed to be a top 5 pick, but IMO he's right up there with fultz. The dude can flat out play. Mix between prime Rose (athleticism) and Chris Paul (play making ability). Won't surprise me if he ends up being the top pick at all.

Exactly. The coach and players aren't trying to lose. Coaches get fired for losing (even if tanking although Brett Brown is exception), and players get replaced by draft picks. Its the GM that deliberately puts garbage players in place to play and lose these games.

If PG and Westbrook go to LA in 2018 and the Lakers somehow fall out of the bottom three this year, that 2019 pick is going to be garbage

We already made our big deal. So not expecting much else. Not that I won't get anxiety when I see a Woj tweet notification.
