With Ross now part of the team, It feels in some ways like the Magic are a new team. So much so that it feels like the All-Star Break is now the beginning of a new season.

Even though they are fading out of the playoff race -- 6 1/2 games out with 24 to play -- the Magic are not about to pack it in. Thursday's game against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers is the start of a new "mini-season" for Orlando, one in which the team begins resetting its culture and preparing for a Playoff push in 2018.

"Right now, we're 0-0," coach Frank Vogel said. "We're not going to focus on the standings and how many games we've got to make up or anything like that. We're going to focus on bringing maximum effort to practice and maximum focus into the game planning and preparations and all the little habits that our young players need to develop."

The season is lost, no reason to win.

So do I. Way better personality and I like that he is taking this challenge head on.

Very excited to see him play tonight. I've really missed basketball in general. I just hope that these games are entertaining going forward for the rest of the season.

Look forward to seeing him play but we have a habit of honeymoon games. Where after a trade we win the next game. Can't afford to do that here. Every loss counts.

Might actually watch this game to see how Ross looks. Would love to see a lineup of Payton-Fournier-Ross-Gordon-Vuc but I'm sure they'll still trot ol' Jeff out there.

Ross and Gordon at the 4 makes this game more interesting than most this year.

Ross for 55 in a 30+ point loss would be tops.

I'm ready for the overreaction of Ross; one way or the other.

If he goes OFF, I'll also be contributing to the overreaction.

Our current starting power forward Jeff Green won't let that happen.

So jeff green is really gonna be our starting 4 the rest of the season? Good lord help me. I just can't deal.with that. I know we need the losses but I much rather lose with ag at the 4 and Ross or fournier at the 2 &3. I can not watch jeff green play 30 plus minutes a night the rest of the season.

Don't worry, Vogel is on top of it...
