Still don't think it should fall squarely on him but when teams don't win someone has to be the scapegoat.
Bring on Hinkie!

Didn't expect this to happen so soon. Can't complain though.

Just don't hire Doc Rivers or Vogel.

I supported Henny and it was going well until the Skiles hire (which I don't believe was down to him). Our summer business was rubbish and this season has been a disaster. We need a new direction and ultimately he had to go.

Burn this thing to the ground!!!! Fire sale everyone except AG and Elf. We can make this franchise respectable again people and this was the first move that needed to happen.

Let's hope Alex Martins will be the next one to be fired very soon.

All the best Rob.
This was a tough puzzle to put together and ultimately management flip flopped on their expectations, I believe.
I wouldn't be surprised if Vogel is offered a dual role.
Along the same line - I don't expect Hinkie.

Not a surprise at all. This season was an absolute travesty.
Props for getting it done early though. The search begins!

They need to get someone in place asap. Very important draft.

Orlando's attempt at rebuilding has shown me that it is no easy task to build a good team in the NBA. Hennigan made some questionable moves, but he made some good ones as well. I agree that a change had to be made though and am not upset with the firing. With that being said, whoever the Magic bring in to replace Hennigan won't automatically be better than him, so I'm already nervous.

I was extremely patient with him, but clearly needed to happen... just too much failure and very little success during his 5 years. I just hope we replace him with someone that knows what they're doing.

He wasn't the worst gm we've had. He definitely had an eye for talent but was terrible in terms of negotiating trades.

Better be someone experienced otherwise Vogel is going to have way too much say in the pick...

Can't wait to see who succeeds with Hennigan's team once they grow and mature.

Sources tell the Orlando Sentinel that Magic officials have interest in former NBA All-Star and former Magic player Grant Hill to work as president of basketball operations. But it’s unclear if Hill has interest in the job. Joining the Magic would require Hill to divest his small ownership stake in the Atlanta Hawks.
