I have always know this but it's always nice when people say it.

I still cannot believe how far this place has come.

So 1st thing that comes to my mind is which ownership of what nba teams actually come on realgm to gauge fan reaction on pending or certain moves.

2nd thing that comes to my mind is the Orlando Magic among one of the ownerships that come on here?

3rd thing that comes to my mind is the next thing coming up that will affect the Orlando Magic is the Nba draft lottery/ Nba draft. If Orlando Magic ownership wants to check out the fan reactions from Magic fans on who we want picked with our draft picks in this year's NBA draft, How much of an impact do (we the fans have) and how much would it impact(ownership)

Our 1st draft selection- Take either Isaac, Tatum or Monk( Focus 1st on getting our SF, than we can get PG with one of our next selections before our last selection is over.

Our next 3 draft selections- Take Jonathan Modley( as our PF choice), Take Jawuan Evans or Frank Mason (as our PG choice), and last selection take Sidarius Thornwell or Kobi Simmons. That's an accomplished draft

Well at least we know Hennigan wasn't one of them. I'm sure most teams have a FO guy to do this but highly doubt they take anything people say in online boards seriously.

Wow, I don't know how I feel about that.

Online forums certainly have passionate fans, but we're a finicky bunch and we turn on bad trades/picks/FAs in a heart-beat.

The Magic brass really shouldn't look at Reddit. Not a lot going on there for the Magic.

Ever since Pooper, this was obvious

Some of our complaints were even addressed by the ownership as well. Remeber when Vuc had an interview during the offseason about not being happy coming off the bench, a week or so later, the team made a podcast with Vuc saying he is ok with it, blah blah. Us wanting Martins to have no more say in the Basketball Operations, and seems like we got it too with Martins stepping down.

I must congratulate RealGM and guys like Howard, guys behind the creation of this site, that made the forums as a voice of the fans and how RGM is somehow becoming a medium to the owners.

Yeah, RealGM and now Reddit became the de facto places to discuss the NBA and it's quite obvious that many FOs would get the pulse of the fans through here.
It's actually a good thing, IMO.

Also, many players lurk around but only a very few are registered or post here. They are human, they are curious, they are also adviced on how to protect themselves from internet board opinions.
Even with my hometown soccer team I have regular interactions with players and people on the exec board. It helps that I know them personally, but the point is that even in a very small scale they do use the social networks to get a pulse on the fans.

I think we learned that from luncheon-gate. It also crossed my mind when the Ibaka trade was announced, as so many around here had been obsessed with him as the perfect front court complement to Vucevic.

I don't know why anyone would believe otherwise. Every team has to have someone who is curious enough to go read what the fans are thinking (and some probably even participate).
