Honestly I am just thrilled we have a PBO in Orlando now. Interested to see who Jeff picks up as the GM. Need to research him a bit more but just based on the tweets I'm seeing about him, this was a good hire for us.

I'm relieved that we have finally addressed the position.

Well at least he can't be worse then Hennigan. Also hope he keeps Lloyd around as GM.

Here's Weltman's bio as best I can tell. I believe he's 52 years old. He's worked extensively with both Masai Ujiri (in Denver/Toronto) and Jeff Hammond (in Detroit/Milwaukee).

Congrats guys. You guys have a solid President. Not sure if he'll have final say in decision like Masai does in TO, but Weltman is very low key (which I think is a good thing) and had influence on the Bucks drafting Giannis, and has learned from Masai for awhile now. Solid addition to your franchise.

Idk too much about him, but we will see I guess. This came completely out of left field. I'm guessing that if the Griffin rumors were true, we gave up after not getting an answer from Cleveland?

I don't really know how to evaluate him. I probably just can't, at least not accurately. I can say that I haven't really liked what the Raptors have done. Yeah they've been good, but not good enough. Not even close, if we're being realistic. And they don't seem primed to change their "not good enough" status any time soon. But that doesn't mean it's fair to evaluate him negatively based on that opinion.

Irrelevant. The guy who was running the Magic has been fired now, so it's pointless to compare the Magic's recent history with the recent history of the organization our new guy has been involved with.

So yeah, don't really know what to say. We need him to pan out and be good, so I hope he pans out and does a great job.
