What's your big board look like for the draft?

I think it will be interesting to return to these in a season or two to see how players have transformed and developed, or gone on to tank.

I really don't have a strong feel for this draft, so mine will be more high risk, high reward punts on lesser known players, I reckon.

Alright, so as of June 10th, mine would look like:

1 - Fultz
2 - Ball
3 - Jackson
4 - Markkanen
5 - Ntilikina
6 - Isaac
7 - DSJr
8 - Tatum
9 - Monk
10 - Fox

Keep in mind, this is how I think the talent might shake out in a few seasons. Might not show straight away.

My thoughts on Markkanen jumping so high are just that I anticipate him becoming a top scorer in the NBA.

Ntilikina is an absolute wildcard, but I see him as a SG version of Giannis, with less height, but that rangy, athletic combo - except he can hit 3's. I think he eventually puts all those together to transcend guys like Monk and DSJr who are currently more developed than him.

Isaac is the upside pick with special defensive potential that I could see Hammond and Weltman falling in love with. Fox is the wildcard for me. I could see a scenario where he goes as high as 2 or falls to us at 6. If he is there when we pick I would prefer DSJ but I also wouldnt be unhappy with Fox either.

Did this on the crapper, but feel like it's how I see it. I think Fultz is Brandon Roy 2.0. Ball is overrated. Tatum could lead the league in scoring one day imo. And I'm a little higher on Smith than most.

Fultz Jackson and Tatum are in the top tier with Smith Jr close behind.

Ntilikina, Fox, Ball, and Isaac. All great prospects with more question marks than the previous four for the next level.

Nothing against Ntilikina; I just don't know enough about him to judge him and I like these 10 players a lot for what I believe they can offer.

1. Jackson (Celts will trade down with Lakers. Will send Clarkson)
2. Fultz (BPA for the Lakers)
3. Monk (Phil need a shooter)
4. Ball (Suns need a facilitator with Booker as SG)
5. Smith (Sac has no legit PG)
6. Ntilikina (PG that can shoot. Long, athletic, non stop motor, active hands, unknown)
7. Tatum (Minn need a PF. Imagine Rubio, Lavine, Wiggins, Tatum, KAT)
8. Fox (NY has no legit PG)
9. Isaac (BPA)
10. Markkanen (BPA)

I'm going to throw Giles in there as a wild card. Word is he has been putting on a #1 overall worthy show in private workouts. His stock has already moved from late 1st round back to just outside the lottery. If his medical reports come back strong I wouldn't be surprised if he jumped further on draft night. It only takes one team...

Yup. You always want to throw a name out there that isn't talked about as a top 10 pick pre-draft because we all know there will be surprises and flops.

Giles is a super talent in a broken body. Is he recovered? If so, then this pick isn't even fair. Of course he is a future top 10 player from this class.

But the injuries are very scary. So I would not touch him with our actual #6 pick.

Ohhhh, good call on Giles. There's most certainly a few players from outside the lottery who will jump positions. I'll have to factor that into my next big board.

I think if Dallas or Denver can get the others pick (I guess there is active debate between the two fanbases or something?) and trade up for our 6, I think we should do it. Someone good is going to drop to 9 (Issac, Fox, DSJ, Ntilikina) and 13 if we can sneak Giles, this could be an insane draft for us.

I am not big on Ball at all. I just don't think he will be a high impact NBA player. I like Issac a lot more recently. Just watching more film of him i really don't think we need to worry if he fits with Gordon. It would be fun to watch them defend the forwards of the league. I think eventually he can turn into a center but probably not until later in his career. Tatum is that polished rookie with potential to expand his game and that's very tempting and I just don't see him working well with Gordon. Monk is a gunner. I love his style and I think the NBA will be better for his style of play.

IMO in our draft position we need to draft both Monk and Issac. Trade anything but keep Gordon and that's a solid baby 3.

I'm not saying he'll be drafted 4th, I'm saying I think he could end up the 4th best talent in the draft. He could end up higher. But I'm sure people were skeptical of the potential of Dirk being the best talent in his draft, so it's understandable here.

In a scale of Vesely - McDermott - Mirotic - Porzingis - Jokic - Dirk then I think he sits closer to the Porzingis/Jokic/Dirk end with his scoring abilities and physical profile. Other 7fters will struggle to defend him on the perimeter.
