same core has been here for what 3 years (EP, Vuc, AG & EF)... not buying that crap at all. Hate to say it but this interview is hard to listen to and I'm only 7 minutes into it.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

it doesn't get better. It's a hard listen.

Makes me wonder if Elf floats this way in the locker room the same way he floats in this interview? I thought he would be more engaging.

Not the best person to do a podcast with. It shows how rubbish Kennedy is.

When did Kennedy move from basketballinsiders to hoopshype?

sounds like he's hoo humm about getting whooped on the floor night in night out and not really bothered. If your teammates are telling you to attack as a PG in your 3rd year in the NBA we've got massive problems. What else was said? I stopped at 10 minute mark when random music started playing lol. Did he get asked about his shooting and or locker room presence?

Yeah. I can understand why Skiles would not like Elfrid as his starting point guard. Elfrid is not a leader yet. He's too laid back. Too passive.

What did he attest his great post all-star break play to? Getting comfortable with Vogel, more opportunity and more spacing. What an idiot. It's actually because the other teams stopped trying. Duh!

Nah, USAToday bought Hoopsworld then dismantled it.

Kennedy moved to Hoopshype about 2 months ago.

he didn't say much at all.

- top 3 PGs hardest to defend
- training with Chris Paul
- Spoke with Hammond but it was more congratulatory talk; nothing specific about role (*this raised my eyebrow and showed me he's not part of the future here*)
- gonna feel good to have same coaching staff for 2nd year in a row
- always works on his shot, but knows his bread & butter is living in the paint. doesn't listen to noise and won't shoot just to prove he can knock down shots. he'll continue to attack paint.

I can't remember what else.

then he needs to learn what his bread & butter should be. he is hurting the team by not being able to shoot competently

Every single PG's bread and butter should be getting in the paint. Different PG's have different ways of doing it. Whether it be the threat of the outside shot or craftiness or just straight up quickness. But that is always priority number 1 for a PG. Break down the defense. He's 100% correct on that.

maybe old NBA, not this new NBA. You have to have outside range to keep spacing alive, otherwise defenders sag off you and can help defend other players. so no, priority #1 should not be getting into the paint, he has already shown he has that ability. His #1 priority should be improving his outside shot, especially his 3ptr which got worse, and get his FT over 75%.
