Confessions from Darko

Sad the guy had so much talent

It’s up to a young player to prove himself, work hard and wait for his chance. My approach was completely different. As a No. 2 pick coming from Europe, I thought I was sent by God. So I got into fights, got drunk before practices, spiting everyone, while in the end, I was spiting myself.”

I'm happy for him that he's been able to look back and learn from his mistakes and that he's in a better place now. It's not easy for everyone to adapt, especially if you're already coming in with some psychological issues.

The Sad part is that he was so talented

But as long as he is happy now, fame and money doesnt always lead to happiness

Yeah I feel the same way whenever I see guys with american eagles tattooed across their chests or a hammer and sickle on someones arm. I really don't see how that has anything to do it.

The guy had psychological issues and you (plural, not you only now Pepe) are lacking any sense of compassion. The guy made mistakes, acted a tool, admits to it...that takes bravery and a lot of work internally/psychologically.

He who cast the first stone and all. It's all so easy to judge from where we sit.

Wow I honestly had no idea he HATED playing. I thought he was just a bust. That makes a lot of sense now. He used to look like he could not gaf whenever he was on the floor. Well he can say he won a ring, made millions in the NBA, and now he can do what he wants on his farm. At least he's owned up to his past transgressions. Mental health issues are a big deal. Good for him. It sucks that he was probably talented enough to be one of the best big men of all time. It's another one of those sad NBA stories.
