Over their careers, Vučević has a higher ppg and rpg stat line. Last season, Vučević again had more ppg and more rpg; AND played more games over the season.
So, yes Vučević is better than Horford. That Horford is on the wrong side of 30, this season it is a no-brainer to favor Vučević over Horford.
..
Uhhh ,don't do it to yourself.
Nikola Vučević is center version of Kevin Martin or Al Jefferson. Guys who were always getting their stats on 20-30 wins teams and their performance never had any impact on their teams.
Vučević only had one season where he played on team with .500 or better record- in his rookie year ,where he didn't even play much at all ( 15 mpg ,got lot of DNP-s that year ).
And if we are going to compare some raw numbers for career.
VUčević : 14,6 ppg, 9,9 rpg, 2,0 assists, 0,8 steals, 0,9 blocks, 50% FG, eFG 50,2%, 71% FT ,52,6% TS
Horford: 14,3 ppg, 8,6 rpg, 3 apg, 0,9 steals, 1,2 blocks, FG 52,8%, EFG 54,1% , 74,8% FT, 56,8 % TS
so for 0,3 ppg and 1,3 rpg that goes in Vučević adventage, Horford did everything else better and with more efficiency.
Through whole career Vučević actually has negative offensive box plus minus ( -0,5 ) and positive DBPM (1,2), Horford has 0,8 OBPM and 1,8 DBPM.
Where Horford has win share over 48 min of .157, Vuc sits on .113.
Horford career usage is 19,4% , Vučević 23%
Is there even a reason to say that Horford played 92 playoff games and started 91 of them, logging over 3000 min in that period, where Vučević logged grand total of 1 game, 0 starts and played grand total of 3 min of his career in playoff basketball after 7 years of nba .
Not to mention that Horford had 15 ppg on fraking 66,8% TS in playoffs this year playing on conference finals team. Ofc he is not flawless, his rebounding faded away over a time, and he stays away from contact and probably should play PF more than C anyway ( 6'10 )
