According to Woj, the 2nd year is partially guaranteed. Depending on that number, it may ease most of my misgivings about this deal.

Yes!!!!! Wait....why do we have 4 pg's? I'd be ok with this if Augustine and Watson are discarded.

Shelvin Mack can ball, He's taking Elfrid starting job if Payton doesn't play like a starter. Right now Elfrid is still the starter, but now we got a guy in Mack that will push Elfrid of taking his starting role.

If Mack takes Payton's job for one second not because of injury you just have to give up on EP and never mention him again.

What is Shelvin Mack wingspan? He's 6'3"

He shot 47% from 3 point range in last year's playoffs

http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/6454

He doesn't quite fit the whole description of versatile, long, athletic, can shoot, and defend multiple positions. The only think Mack is from that group is can shoot.

I'm so glad Jeff and John are addressing our need for mediocre players who can't shoot. It's not like this is one of the worst shooting teams in the league or anything.....oh wait.

He shot 300 from three last year. He is a career .321 free throw shooter

Reserving judgement until he actually plays for Orlando. As well as this is the first real move made by management and others may follow.

That's just a hot streak. His career shooting numbers, including last season, aren't good. He's not a shooter.

He's survived on a reputation as being a tough defender, but it's up for debate whether he's actually a good defender. I just think think he sucks. I don't know how else to put it.

Was anyone really expecting more. We are not going to win that many games so this is an ok signing. It wasn't supposed to wow anyone. We are just filling out the roster and with that second year being partially guaranteed it doesn't hurt us that much.

Someone who gets it :) Is it a move that I'm excited about? No. Is he going to come in and have a big impact? Maybe maybe not but it's not this terrible debacle that most around here would have you believe either.
