I'm talking more in the likes of Oladipo, Tobias, Harkless, etc rather than Jason Smith and Channing Frye

Do you wish them the best? Or do you secretly hope they fumble their careers and hope they don't blossom into studs that we let go.

For the most part I root for them if they leave on good terms but I'm not going to lie, I do a sigh of relief when I look at their box scores and don't see anything too outstanding.

Most of the time I do. I'm still cheering for my all-time favorite player Jameer Nelson. Nelson will always be a Magic player to me, as well as JJ and Oladipo.

However, there are some players that I kinda hope aren't as successful, but that's not because of the player. Most of the time it's because of some people on here and how they always act like we lost a superstar in the making when we trade them away, like Harris. I loved Harris during his time here, but with the way people reacted about that trade, I'm glad when something goes wrong with the Pistons so I don't have to hear about how "we screwed up".

But I would say yes for the most part. I'm normally the guy that defends our players the most on this board, so of course I'm happy to see most succeed somewhere else. Most recently, Channing Frye winning a championship last year after everyone called him a bum and a scrub. I know that Evan and Vuc are gonna be two other players I have to defend on a daily basis that I'm going to cheer for after they inevitably get traded.

Yes, unless it was Shaq or Dwight. Or unless they go to Lakers, Cavs, Celtics, Heat.

I'm still a fan of Oladipo and pull for him a bit. I mean it's weird, most of us are team fans and not player fans. So you want these guys to be successful, but not too successful because that means we missed out by trading them.

I still root for guys I liked with the Magic. I check on Jameer Nelson, JJ Redick, Victor and Tobias, they were all players I liked. I've forgotten about a lot of them like Mo Harkless, and some I cannot stand like Matt Barnes. I keep an eye on Vince Carter too, in general I don't keep tabs on every guy who played here no. Like I have no idea where certain guys ended up.

Nicholson yes. Dwight no. Everyone else meh.

I tend to keep track of most of them but not necessarily root for 'em - unless they are on my fantasy teams of course And the thing is I keep forgetting that given player was a magician pretty soon, like after 1-2 full seasons I don't tie them to Magic any longer. JJ is/was a Clipper for me, Meer is a Nugget for me, and Dwight, well, Dwight is a journeyman now, lol.

Former magicians im actually rooting for: meer (i crazy love that guy), vc and rashard lewis (at big 3 lol).

Honorable mentions: got happy for jj and his juicy deal and will probably root for Vuc when he out.

Its hard to think about that tho... Several players from the 2010s run are now retired and the followers were part of the worst 5 years of the franchise so...

It depends for me. For most players, even if I hated them before they arrived to Orlando, I end up liking them once they're on the Magic. Matt Barnes for instance was a particularly loathsome creature before the Magic, but I loved him when he was here. Since then, I've grown to respect him, even if I don't always like his actions. I even still root for Dwight to succeed. Those are players I actually LIKE.

But the reason I chose "it depends" is because there are some players who come through the Magic organization that I don't really care for. If I have no interest in a player, they end up being forgettable and I don't care whether or not they succeed or falter after they leave us. For instance, I won't root for Jeff Green next season. He simply did not move any needles for me in any direction, good or bad.

lol seems a little extreme.

I wish the magic the best... so when we get rid of players I'm looking for reassurance that we made the right decision.

Only some. Not the ones that dog the city before they leave yet still keep a house here..

Oh yeah I forgot about grandpa. Even tho he isn't playing anymore. When he dunked on iggy man that was great.

Considering our team is less than stellar I don't mind seeing former Magic players have success.
