This is why you release guys from their non-guaranteed contracts when you know they don't have much of a chance to make the team.

I agree with this now, but we all know that in the 0.001% chance that he becomes a very good role player that Magic fans and fans of other teams are all gonna say how we were stupid to have let him go.

It would be even more annoying if he used it as motivation and even brought us up by name and said we gave up on him instead of taking it the way most here are. Imagine the backlash we would hear from players and fans again saying we're not a loyal team like Miami (which is totally false if you look at how they handled Wade and James). We're pretty much in a lose-lose situation unless he doesn't work out for the Wolves either.
