RealGM's Keith Smith (Smitty731) is reporting that The Magic have signed guard Troy Caupain to a camp deal.




My guess is he will likely be cut and then assigned to Lakeland.

This leaves 2 camp invitees and one two-way player left to be signed.

I usually don't say much about our camp or pre season players to much ( besides our rookies ) and I have never heard of this kid before but I do like his highlights. Seems like a smooth player to me. I like his shot, and his ability to block for a guard. Hopefully he makes it to atleast our Lakeland team.

We are bringing the pain, this offseason. Coupain and Payne. Also, fans still in mental pain.

It looks close to 100% that Troy Caupain and Adrein Payne are our 2 way contracts. Our 15 man roster is set, Payne and Caupain make the 16th and 17th players.

dont know what to think of this signing. Not a great passer, not a good 3 pt shooter. but hey, he has good wing span, i guess that means something to the new front office

Camp fodder. One of those guys who'll be cut before preseason ends unless he really shows out.

Management are planning well, when the Magic get contracted they'll have the monopoly on top shelf stackers in the Orlando area. Walmart will be all over them to buy out these long armed contracts.

Yeah, they like wingspan over the actual ability to play NBA basketball. God help us.
