Welcome to the Official Magic RealGM A League Discussion Thread for the 2016-17 season!

Congratulations to the top finishers last year!

To Be Determined...

The competition in this league is the toughest that the RealGM Magic Board has to offer every year. Failure to finish in the top 12 will result in losing a spot and a demotion to the B League as the top 2 finishers of the B League will receive invitations to join the A League.

DRAFT

The draft will be held on the forums in classic tradition. The draft order will be snake style and allow for trading. The order is determined by the final standings. If you PM me your cell phone then I will text you when you are OTC. Highly recommend sending me one. It won't be abused. Great means of talking trade too!

You will have to join B League and earn your way to A League by finishing in the Top 2 this year.

Man, I sunk myself on Chandler Parsons in that mid-early pick. It's always the injuries that get you every year. I believe we had quite a few injured playoff players too.

We did have quite a number of trades tho. I don't think it stops either, so things might heat up around here real quick..

We might not have a draft... or a season... People not checking in. B League doesn't even have a thread. Who were their top 2 finishers?

I'm not sure. If we don't hear from them, we could always keep the last 2 from A League if they're still interested. We would need to get drafting pretty soon since the season starts early this year.

GL guys waiting for last year B League winners :lol:

Actually B league last year didnt exist as far as I know.
I have tried to help with B league last year
so I did set up threads and check ins mails etc for B as people were asking but nobody cared to set up anything...so I did.
Plan was to set it up then pass the finished work to someone who would be willing to commish it...but overall only like 6-7 people checked in so it was a fail attempt on my part to make something positive for this board ...it never took off.

I guess fantasy league done this way is kind of a retro thing now.We live in a times of NBA 2K leagues with drafts where we can actually play and controll the teams we constructed so automaticly people dont have much intrest in the old school ancient way

of doing fantasy leagues.
Year after year you can see less people interested but I guess A league became more of a tradition.
still remember the times we had so many people we had to make C league and 18-20 team leagues

So Skin Imo You should take whoever wants to join.That guy who was asking and was told to join through B league ... he may have a problem with doing that so I guess you should take him in and also already kind of start a recruitment thread or something for whoever is interested as you dont have much time to fill at least 14 spots.... you stand at what 6-7 now?
