Jameer Nelson getting waived by Nuggets
I wouldn't mind seeing him back in Orlando.
Who needs to be waived to make this happen!

I'd love to have him back, but he'll probably help some contender out there

Jameer should replace Jeff Turner.
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

Bring Jameer home! Such an underrated Magic player... I miss that guy. Bring him home to finsih his career, then induct him into the Magic HOF and keep him on as a coach.

Never should have left/been traded whatever it was.

One of my all time favorites. I will never have a bad word to say about a move that puts Jameer in a Magic jersey,
However, if he can chase a ring then go for it. He deserves one.

Re: Jameer Nelson getting waived by Nuggets
I would love Jameer to come back. I wish the Magic never let him go to begin with, but with the current state of the back up Point Guards, they could definitely use him. Sadly I don't see it happening. I hope wherever he does end up, he's happy there.

This might be a probable outcome for next season.

Re: Jameer Nelson getting waived by Nuggets
Anyone else shocked he's getting waived when he's probably Denver's best PG? He had a pretty good year last year, and you're cutting him for Richard Jefferson??
Than again I was shocked when we cut someone who was a Magic lifer, when we were thin at PG and desperately needed outside shooting and veteran leadership.
BRING HIM HOME!!!!

Meer played good in Denver last year. Unless he gets a chance at a ring, I would hope the Magic go after him hard all while looking to unload the other backup PG's.

Let him go play for a contender. He has always been one of my favorites but he should get to ring chase.

Re: Jameer Nelson getting waived by Nuggets
Signing Jameer is nothing but a sentimental transaction. If we want him back and be valuable, we should just offer him a front office position.
As bad as a player DJ and Mack are, at this point is Jameer’s career, there’s a reason why he was waived for RJ.

Re: Jameer Nelson getting waived by Nuggets
Only reason to bring him back would be one of those 1 day contracts to retire. He was here 10 years so it would be a nice gesture on the Magic's part. That is IF Jameer is ready to hang it up. Which i'm not sure he is. He might have another year or two to go ring chasing.

Re: Jameer Nelson getting waived by Nuggets
If I recall Jameer still played relatively well in Denver. I’m surprised by this move. Jefferson is significantly older than Jameer I think too. Is the wing position with the nuggets THAT weak?
As for rejoining The Magic, if it happened I’d certainly be more interested in them, aside from Ross and Simmons I absolutely hate this roster almost to a man. Vucevic aside, who I generally like. Jameer likely goes to a contender who could use a spark off the bench at the pg spot. I could see him in San Antonio or Houston or maybe even Portland.

They have two young point guards they want to give minutes to and I believe they only have one real small forward in Chandler.

I agree, he will always be remembered in Orlando but he should go for a ring if the opportunity is available
