What about a deal of Hezonja for Portis? Of course there would have to be other players involved but it is still an upgrade.

Apparently Mirotic was instigating Portis, but still, you don't clock your teammate and break his jaw. That's just dumb. Combined with the fact that he hasn't been a particularly great player anyways, I don't see the appeal in Portis.

Portis for biyombo and hezonja
I wanted portis in 2015 but everyone was happy with mario
At least portis was contributing to his team the last 2 seasons, not like mario

Portis for Mario works. I would do it because we don't have much depth at PF. A second unit of Simmons/Isaac and Portis is crazy intense. I love it.

I don't know Portis's character though. Not sure what kind of player he is like in the locker room.

The trade that would really be nice if CHI says screw it, lets tank hard, is Biyombo and Mario for Portis and Lopez.

Portis would be a nice young big off the bench. If we could dump Biyombo he could maybe even contribute as a small ball 5. Works for me.

Yeah, Portis is 6'11. He could definitely be a 5 and has the potential to be a legit starter at some point.

Ugh, now I want the guy. lol. I do think the Magic have to figure out the 5 spot and PG.

That moment you realize Mario didn't play last night, and you didn't even bat an eye.

It has nothing to do with Mario's playing time. It has everything to do with we have a glut of wing plays and someone has to go. Of our wing players he is the most expendable.

with AG at PF and Isaac likely to put in minutes at PF, why would we want Portis?

Because Portis can play the 5 and Isaac can play the 3 (he guarded SFs and guards last night). So we could have a rotation of AG/Isaac and Portis or throw them all out there together.

Same. Mario is not even in the rotation, so I think its a nice trade, if even possible.

I like Portis's talent. He is still young and has room to grow.

Eh nothing against him I'm sure he had a reason to throw the punch, but I'd rather give Birch a look with his supreme shotblocking instincts.

Birch for sure. I feel the Magic may be looking to move Biz and have Birch replace him. But that being said, Portis is still a rotation player as a 4 or small ball 5. Mario is not, and when he is, he plays the 4 a lot now.

I was just saying I never even realized Mario didn't play last night. Must mean I don't consider him very valuable?

Portis for Hezonja needs to happen.
