I just moved back to Orlando area and haven’t been to new arena and I wanted to ask your guys opinion on seating. What opinions do you guys have on getting the most bang for your buck? Best places to sit? I am a little bit of a seat snob so want to stay in lower bowl. Thanks all!

I never sat behind the basket or the corners since I am a seat snob myself. But, anything off center court to the corners are excellent. Best thing about lower bowl is the comfy cushioned seats with the drink holders and more elbow room. But, if you ever are cheap and get upper bowl, I highly recommend 1st row center as that is the best view of the entire court plus nobody in front of you and you can lean on railing whole game. I used to buy those for playoffs and do lower bowl during the season.

I had season tix behind the net one year, just a little off center, about 4 rows up in section 102. Sure, a little tough to see some of the details at the other end of the court, but it was amazing when the scrum was right in front of you.

To answer the original question, I'm not convinced there is really a bad seat in the house.

Well. This can get interesting depending on who you talk to and how much you want to spend. I will break down:

1) Park in Geico parking garages next to Arena. I don't recall the prices as I only use these when someone gives me a free pass. But, there are long lines and it takes time to get in and out.

2) Numerous parking garages within 2-5 city blocks. Most are around $10 per and I think the one on Central across from Ember (one of my pre-game drinking holes due to 2-1 happy hours and 3-1 on Fridays. Plus, it is a classy joint and sometimes parking only $5, but I think they raised it yet am not sure. Now, if you don't like walking, there are tons of Rickshaws. They only charge $5-10 for a couple block jaunt to the arena. This is my usual drive. Getting out from Ember then going east to Summerlin can get you to the 408 (east/west) expressway rather quick instead of dealing with the heavy post game traffic.

3) If you want to park on the street or for free, you could always look for a spot further north on Orange avenue which is rare, can find spots on Rosalind 6-10 blocks away as parking is free after 6pm. Or, I go find a free spot off South Street east of the Arena which can bo anywhere from 8-11 blocks away. I rarely go this route anymore, but since I live just south east from this spot also is close to eh 408 expressway, there is no traffic on the way home. For me, it is backroads home.

You both should have come said hi. I worked the short stairwell of section 101, the first 4 years after Dwight left.

Ha. Up until Dwight left, I had season tickets to section 103 12th row.

yea i'd say the parking garages on Pine or Central are your best bet. They're not too expensive, I think they tend to run $10 for Magic games. Probably a 5-7 minute walk outside the arena, they're quicker to get out of (especially if you're heading north bound). If you need to head south bound on I-4 right after the game, you'll have to go north first to get to a south bound ramp, because the one just south of the arena will be impossible to get to for 15+ minutes as people depart the arena and traffic backs up.

If you're tight on cash there are definitely spots further away for free like BMP mentioned. When I was tight for cash in college I would park on Orange. Probably a 15-20 minute walk but worth it if you're on a tight budget and don't mind walking.

Something else to consider, maybe someone else can shed some light: The Geico garage has an exit on one of the upper floors that leads to an I-4 ramp. it's really convenient. I used it for a concert at the Dr Philips Center heading East/North. I can't recall if it also allows you to jump on I-4 West/South. Personally I hate the prospect of getting caught in traffic, but if this exit is there for south bound I-4 it's probably the best bet if you're unfamiliar with the ramps downtown.

edit: Hopefully they make enough progress with I-4 construction so that the parking under I-4 returns next year. Those were the best option by far.

Oh yea, in regards to Ubering. The construction right now makes it even more difficult for Ubers to get through as some of the cut-throughs are gone. I went to the Bruno Mars concert last weekend and it took my wife and I forever because our Uber got stuck in traffic, and mind you this was after we went and grabbed a bite at Super Rico right next to the fire station. We had hoped to wait out the bad traffic but it was a nightmare.

That is why I take all the backroads. Could easily take south to Summerlin to 408 west back to I-4 or go east to Mills up to I-4 north. For me, I can take Mills down to about a mile from my house. No traffic!

they are making an urban park with basketball courts and street set up under I4..it will no longer be parking.

I hope they have fences due to the car traffic around there. This to me just sounds like a bad idea being this is a very touristy area also with heavy car traffic.

A couple things to add. I had 5th row seats the last year before I left. Super Star section. Included is Geico parking and access to the Mercedes lounge which gives you free beer/wine & food. Opens 2 hours before game time with food throughout. High 5 the players from both teams at each end as they go to/from the locker rooms.

If you look, you may find a season ticket holder who will sell them for cheap last minute(I did) and have a really great experience. You have to remember to ask about parking pass usually.

It was incredible! Love the new arena just beautiful! Went to nets game and had such a good time that I went to the spurs game too! 2 great wins! Sat in sec 112 aisle closer to the mid court and they were tremendous seats. I work at KSC and magic give us the group rate on tickets so I plan to take full advantage of that perk and go to as many games as possible. I gotta nail down the parking though I parked in a little lot just north of geico garage. I am not familiar with Orlando streets at all I gotta get better at that!
