``People aren’t going to take us lightly and if they do, we’re going to blow them out,’’ boasted Gordon. ``This is just a good group with a good vibe and good energy. Everybody is playing together so well and it looks like we’re having fun, huh?’’

``People can keep saying they were just missing shots, but just like I said (after games against Cleveland and San Antonio), we’re playing really, really good defense,’’ Biyombo said with conviction. ``I think that as we continue to beat all of these big teams, who knows what will happen. We can’t get ahead of ourselves and we can’t get too high when we win or too low when we lose. We’ve just got to keep the same pace and see what’s coming. But I’m really excited for everybody here. The way we’re playing and covering for each other, it’s special.’’

``Nahhh, man, I don’t want to hear about that yet,’’ Fournier said with a playful laugh. ``I’ve been here for four years and with Scott (Skiles) we had an amazing December and then we were the worst team in the NBA in January. So I don’t want to hear any of that (arrival talk) right now. It’s early and we still have a long way to go, so please no (dreaming about the future) until we’ve done something.’’

“We have to keep playing the way we’ve been playing so far,” Vucevic said. “We can’t get happy. We can’t get satisfied. We have to stay hungry no matter what happens, because we’re not in a position to relax. We never will be.”

The Magic is steaming along and the Boncats is slumping: classic trap game.

A real coach's test for Coach Vogel.

Such a great game thread OrlandO! Well done!

This team has been a thorn in our side basically for our entire rebuild. Hope we can start this road trip on a good note and get a good win in their gym. Definitely have to control the boards and not allow Charlotte to get second chance opportunities and please not let Kemba and Marvin Williams go off on us. Have to do a good job boxing out Howard as he has been rebounding very well for the Hornets. He is still very basic on the block so if Charlotte does feed him in the post, play him 1 on 1 and dare him to beat us. Need to foul him if he gets a clear attempt to score as he has been awful at the FT line this season.

Vuc being able to draw Dwight out of the paint is going to be huge for us in this game. Their SG rotation is lacking so I expect Evan and Juice to be able to break down their guys at will. They will not be able to play at our pace. Just need to take care of the basketball, space the floor, and move the basketball with a purpose. Charlotte will not be playing the same doormats that they were used to in previous years as I know we will fight no matter the situation. Can't wait for this game...HYPED AS ****!

I believe he is still out with that torn ligament on his left elbow. They have Jeremy Lamb starting for him right now.

good.
I saw that Dwight is one of few players ever who started season with 16+rpg in first 4 games or something like that. 17,4 rpg

Anyway i belive we can beat them especially now when Batum is out

For me the key is Augustin's play. He needs to continue being an "average NBA PG" for Orlando to win this. Beyond that, athletically, Vučević should marginally outperform Howard. That means Orlando needs another strong game from Fournier and Gordon OR Ross to come out of his shooting slump. This is a very winnable game for the Magic, so long as coaching is near perfect.

Go Magic! The key is to play the game at pur pace. Offensively we still have to play unselfish basketball and find our open all stars in fournier, ag an vuc. Defensively we have to control Kemba and his play making ability. Magic for the win!

Kemba will most likely kill us like he always does. Them missing batum will be big for us. We have to keep Dwight off the glass and pull him out of the paint. Also we have to control the "others" (Williams, lamb, zeller)from having big nights. If we can continue to push the pace and force Charlotte into tough contested shots we will have a chance to win this But it is gonna be tough. Go magic

Who's going to guard Kemba? DJ has been fine since Payton went down, but it would be a bad matchup for us if DJ guards Kemba. Either Simmons or Iwundu should be on Kemba.

Ross? DJ can guard Lamb, he only bombs 3s anyway

This Cha team dominated us last year. It was ugly, im sure the guys have that in their mind, time to wear them out with our pace.

another middling tempo team, which we seem to be able to blow out. (yes, I included the heat. it was almost about to be a blowout) so I expect a high offensive output again unless we have gone really cold.

defensively though, Kemba is the first fast and competent point guard DJ's gonna face so I expect problems on that front. I hope switching defense that's working against low tempo teams can cover up the deficiencies of PG defense but we'll see.

losing 7 straight against them makes this another statement game which I hope our guys will respond to. if we win this one too, nothing short of 4th seed at the end of the season will satisfy me

I was at the game in Charlotte in March when we got killed by 40. I would imagine some of those guys have not forgotten.

Clifford's don't a good job of getting good production out of Dwight. He also gets Zeller back. Need Vooch and Biz (and anyone else playing center) to out-play or at a minimum keep up with Charlotte's center production.

Oh, and hopefully Biz doesn't get posterized by Marvin Williams again.
