Re: #12 UCF Football (9-0) @ Temple
15th is about what I expected. However, given the bias previously and continually shown I suppose we should just be "grateful" for allowing any G5 school to let us play in their sandbox.
Watching the Duke/MSU ball game, and Jay Bilas gave UCF props saying #6 is where they belong. Of course his opinion does not matter.
Nor does Tim Brando's opinion, who ranked Ucf 9th in his current poll.
Not saying either of those opinions are correct, but at least they acknowledge a G5 school.
Also, Boise St jumped over USF and took the 25th spot. Beating Troy was probably their best win with losses to Washington St in OT, and a blow out loss to Virginia. Don't agree with that.
Michigan State loses by 45 points and falls three spots. Brilliant.
So are the rankings based off of potential talent, actual performance, or using supposed strength of schedule as an excuse for lack of performance ?
I already know that answer.

Tech hasn’t had a fantastic season so I think it’s minimal at most.

USF struggles to put away 2-9 Tulsa at home.
As much as it pains me to say it, there's ~no~ logical reason to think USF wins next week.
But, until that moment happens, YOU'RE GOING DOWN.

Lol.
Both UCF/USF have been showing warts.
Special teams last night for both teams were atrocious.
Adams and Mack have not been replaced with anyone near their speed/effectiveness.
I don't understand Charley Strong and his offensive philosophy. He came from the GOL tree I guess. Seems to me like he has made his most valuable weapon dysfunctional. Hopefully it stays that way for one more week.

I think that's tough to say at the moment. The Fiesta Bowl team had a much better SOS and knocked off a few ranked teams at this point.
If this team wins out, including the NY6 Bowl, I think they'll be considered the best team in UCF history for a few reasons. If they lose at any point I'd probably say the Fiesta Bowl team will be considered slightly better.

Fiesta bowl team lost a game.... If we win out and win the bowl game I would be inclined to say yes.

I think Charley was playing it safe and not trying to get his QB hurt. They said on the broadcast he had his coaches already looking ahead to the UCF game.
We should have Griffin Spying on Flowers for the whole game imo. He’s their only chance with big plays.

That Fiesta bowl team was super frustrating for me as an opposing fan. So. Much. Luck. Involved. This team is straight up tearing every team they play a new one. Granted, with a much worse SOS.

Re: #12 UCF Football (9-0) @ Temple
That Fiesta Bowl time should've been undefeated, but they also could've had 3-4 losses. There was luck and some crazy defensive plays and miracle catches involved that season. Still, when it came down to it, we played by far our best game of the season in that Fiesta Bowl and beat Baylor (football karma before we knew it) at their own game.
It's scary how young this year's team is in comparison to that team. If they win out and win the bowl game, they're better than that Fiesta Bowl team. If we win at Temple, if we beat USF, if we win the American title game, if we win our bowl game, next year we could run the damn table with how favorable our schedule looks, and the CFB playoff committee can't ignore a 20+ game win streak. They can't. Boise State eventually broke through in similar fashion.
But I'm not looking ahead.
I hate looking too far ahead , especially when our guys are going to be freezing their asses off in Philly tomorrow against a Temple team that is way better than their record. It's really tempting to look to the USF game, but they can't. Coaching staff can't allow it. The juniors and seniors can't allow it.
I got my student ticket and my 2 guest tickets for Black Friday as soon as they were distributing them. All 'paid' tickets are gone. It doesn't look like student tickets (remember, it's both bowls, so we're talking something like 15k-18k student tickets) are sold out yet. Thanksgiving obviously being the issue. It seems close though, and I think it will sell out soon.
I am enjoying seeing Seatgeek prices for USF-UCF out-pricing UF-FSU by nearly double.
