Who would you rather have: Oladipo or Fournier?
It seems like both players are having their breakout season. So I was wondering which of these two players would this board select to play in Orlando.
Could we regret to ship Oladipo for Ibaka? Is he better than Fournier? Did Henny a good job chosing Fournier over Oladipo?

This is a no brainier, even with Oladipo doing OK in Indiana. Fournier is the better defender and is the better offensive weapon. For me it is not close.

Re: Who would you rather have: Oladipo or Fournier?
Tough call, because both players are having breakout seasons so far.
They have very similar stats, but Fournier has a higher FG% and 3P%. Their PERs are virtually the same, as well.
It's easy to say Fournier simply because we're 6-2 and he's a big reason why. Basically, he's the 'known', and Oladipo is the 'unknown'.
What's sad is that we traded Oladipo and Sabonis for a player that ended up hurting us. At least Ibaka led to Issac, though.

When it comes to just picking one or the other, i'm glad we chose Evan
Vic's currently shooting lights out as well but he's not in the same class as Evan as a shooter, and that's key

Close. Oladipo is less selfish and gets more assists while being a pretty good offensive threat himself, but he does turn the ball over more. Fournier has tunnel vision a lot but is a better shooter and bigger defender.
Oladipo slightly for me.

Oladipo would not be the same player if he had stayed with us. We've seen him play like this in stretches. Even IF he maintains that, there's no guarantee it would've happened with us. He already admitted to losing weight this season (why is this still an issue??) and surely he has a chip on his shoulder.

I pick Fournier for his size and shooting ability. But the bouns is that Evan is $4 million less per year. That provides a good amount of flexibility to sign a Jonathon Simmons (a little more than 4 mil but you get my point).
So Evan all day. Plus I think Evan can fit in with most systems, whereas Dipo needs the ball to be effective on offense.

I loved Dipo when he was here and hated that we traded him but Evan is criminally underrated around here, hes better on both ends.
Sometimes I think people are just taking Evan for granted because we didnt draft him, he is one of the most skilled players in the NBA, if he had the physical tools of Oladipo he would have been an MVP candidate imo.

I think oladipo needs to be the guy to be effective. his stint in OKC kinda confirmed that. But how effective is the effective oladipo and is it enough the carry a team, we'll see.

Re: Who would you rather have: Oladipo or Fournier?
Kind of a weird question since Evan is a SF and Oladipo is a SG... but I prefer the SG/SF combo of Ross and Fournier over Oladipo and Fournier.
I still love Oladipo though.

I’m glad we get to see Oladipo run his own show in Indy. In some ways it’s like a parallel universe version of Orlando where we kept Oladipo and Sabonis, and drafted Turner instead of Mario (and got rid of all our other players, lol).
I never thought he’d be an efficient #1 option like he’s showing. I knew he’d crack 20ppg with enough attempts, but he’s doing it with far fewer and much better shooting.

In a vacuum, I'd chose Dipo. He possess better leadership qualities, imo... and I think that's still missing on our team. I'm waiting for someone to step up off the court.

I love me some Dipo. Especially his singing ability and being able to join the dunk contest lol. Fit-wise NOW, I think we made the correct decision in Fournier though.

Oladipo isn’t doing “ok” in Indiana, he’s had a great start to the year. He’s having at the very least as good of a year as Fournier is having. Slightly less efficient but averaging more points in less minutes. And obviously Oladipo is the better defender, was that a typo?
Anyway, for this team I think Fournier fits better.

Re: Who would you rather have: Oladipo or Fournier?
I think the quantified I have is for the team we have now. And so I voted Fournier, who I’m not in love with, but who is much better with the term we have assembled than dipo would be.
Now if the question is who do I pick between the two to start a franchise, the answer is different.
The answer would be sell the franchise

Fournier is definitely the better polished offensive player, but to me it’s Oladipo. Always loved him here. And to those saying Fournier is a better defender....rewatch that Charlotte game and tell me he’s a good defender. His D was the reason we lost!!! Oladipo will at least challenge a jump shot!!
