This is the kind of draft you want to be in the top 4 and Atlanta's, Dallas's, Chicago's, and Sac's tank are all going to be stronger than ours this year. Unless management blows it up soon I don't see a prospect I really love that would be in our range.

Yeah, no way we keep up with those teams. Our best bet is to try to maximize the value of current players then cash in. Lord knows we have no lottery luck anymore (can't blame the basketball gods), so can't rely on the ping pong balls.

This is a 3-4 man draft. We wont suck enough to be anywhere that close. With that said, Id trade this entire team for Deandre Ayton. That kid is the second coming of Patrick Ewing.

Freak of nature. I’d do anything to somehow get out from under Vuc and Biyombos contract and to tank hard enough or get lucky enough in the lotto to get him. Unfortunately that’s nothing but a pipe dream.

I'm a big Deandre Ayton fan. Wouldn't be mad if the Magic end up in that range.

yeah this losing streak h as got me thinking a little more about the draft. Yeah I don't think we end up in the bottom 6 but I guess you never know for sure. And yeah we haven't been treated well by the lottery but only time will tell. Would love to pair one of those top 5 or 6 guys with Isaac and Gordon.

Sadly we won’t be bad enough for one of the top guys and this draft is very top heavy.

I’d even consider trading our first this year along with Biyombo for a younger player or two.

We’re stuck at the bottom of the middle and it stinks!

I'll take Luka Doncic.

Payton/Augustine
Simmons/Diallo
Doncic/Iwundu
AG/Birch
Isaac/Speights

With the way we are falling precipitously in the standings, there should be some really intriguing players around when we pick. Those can't miss types actually miss with a worrying frequency.

I really like Mikal Bridges. He has been soaring up the draft boards the last couple years, but there are reasons why he probably won't move up beyond the back half of the lottery. He wasn't even on the radar coming out of high school and he is a junior that redshirted his first year, so he will be 22 before he ever steps foot on an NBA court.

He has consistently shot at an exceptional frequency. He is a really strong defender that piles up stocks and hustle plays. He's had a very low usage rate prior to this season, which is why he hasn't been a bigger star despite how important he has been to Villanova's success. His offense has largely come from catch and shoot jumpers and transition/hustle plays. Despite this, I believe he has a lot of upside offensively as he glides to the basket with big strides while maintaining exceptional body control. He has been terrific at finishing around the basket due to this.

He is long, athletic, and selfless on a basketball court. I believe he has a lot of untapped potential despite his age. I see a long career as a very good 3nD at the very least.

Michael Porter Jr at 6'10 with that stroke and footwork? Good ball-handling, great 1-on-1. And solid on defense. That's a dream pairing with Isaac at the forward positions. But, I wouldn't mind sticking with AG either.

Ayton looks like a monster. Definitely wouldn't mind him at all. Bamba probably won't be great on offense....but a 7'9.5 wingspan....holy hell he should end up an all world rim protector. Just needs to gain some weight and be able to hold his ground.

I'll be honest, I don't see management blowing it up this season. Too many terrible seasons back to back, I see them doing something to shoot for the playoffs this year.

This board is depressing. Few losses and people r looking at next draft.

We’re 17 games into an 82 game season. We are not stuck anywhere. There is plenty of time to make a strong push for the playoffs or the tank.

Realistically, I see the Magic finishing around 8-10. I'm hoping for Collin Sexton. He's going to be a good player.

Agreed with most that we will be no where close to draft in the top 6 so unless we get some heavy lottery luck we shouldn't realistically be discussing the Ayton's/Doncic's of the world.

IF I had the #1 pick I would easily pick Ayton hands down.

Realistically I will be eyeing Sexton or trading the pick.

No chance we’ll out tank the Mavs, Hawks and Bulls (maybe even the Kings).

I accept we could still make the playoffs but I just don’t see it. I hope I’m wrong.

This is where we need Weltham’s proven ability to find good to great players later in the draft.
