We used to have one of these. I figured since our team is pretty garbage right now people might want to talk about some other things.
Anyway, been binge watching a lot of Netflix lately. Finished "Dark" not so long ago and I really, really enjoyed it. Reminds me a bit of Stranger Things, but moreso of LOST. Now watching "La casa de papel" and enjoying it as well, it's a Spanish-themed heist sort of show. Ursela Corbero is smoking hot in it.
Also just saw the new Star Wars a few days ago. I haven't seen the previous two movies so I'm not a huge Star Wars guy, but it was enjoyable. Not the best or worst movie I've ever seen, although I almost fell asleep a few different times because it was so long.. but part of that was because I got zero sleep the previous night.

Dark was great until the last part, which I will not get into, but I hope the show doesn't get too out there. It's still one of the better shows that I have seen in a while - watch it with german audio and english subs.
La Casa de papel is very cool too. I watched episode 1 and liked it a lot.
Manhunt - the story of the Unabomber is great. I really like that. And so now I am curious about Wormwood. I may fire that up tonight.
Trying to find a way to stream the latest season of Mr Robot on my roku without having to deal with the millions of ads on the USA app. I can't handle it. May have to just pay a fee or something somewhere so I can see them. I like that show a lot.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that. Definitely watch it in German. The English voiceovers are horrible. And yeah, the ending did get a little wacky
Spoiler:
but I guess it can still be some sort of alternate present instead of it being the future. I think it was something they needed to do with some of the plot points though.
I think in general though, at least compared to a show like LOST, that answers will come because they did a pretty good job fleshing a lot of it out. LOST sort of introduced weird ass things and then never showed it again, leaving people to wonder what the purpose of certain things or people were.

Really enjoyed the new Star Wars. I admittedly consider myself a pretty big Star Wars fan and know that alot of the OG fans weren't happy with it but I really liked the movie for the most part. Looking forward to episode 9.

Yeah Dark was very well fleshed out and they really create a rather deep tail that has a ton of storylines. I have not really seen anything like it before. I liked it more than Mindhunters, which was a media darling for a bit.
A show I really loved was Ozark.Really enjoyed that a lot.

I binged on La Casa de Papel this week and it was quite good. It's nice to see a heist story done this way.
Dark is next on my list.
The Sinner - loved it. Mindhunters - loved it.

I just finished the part where
Spoiler:
The Professor is trying to clean the car of any DNA and hides inside the van while the police are searching the junkyard, and just downs the rubbing alcohol, throws mud/dirt all over his face, stabs himself in the nose with the screwdriver or whatever (although I didn't see the need for that part ) and basically make himself look like a disheveled bum so he can escape with the stray dog.
Good scene.
I think you'll quite enjoy Dark. Like PennytoShaq wrote, watch it in German with English subs.

Narcos is the best show I’ve been hooked on. All 3 seasons have been awesome. Season 1 of Stranger Things was really good, season 2 just ok. Black Mirror is good and season 4 coming out tomorrow.

I just saw Jumanji with the fam. I know its not groundbreaking but I hope since it was a mobie about a fake game that real life games get similar or better treatment in movie form.
In terms of TV I am awaiting the next seasons of the Seven Deadly Sins and One Punch Man. Looking to catch Juuni Taisen as well.
As for other media. I'm looking forward to the NBA 2K E-League. Though the game isn't the best it has been I'm hoping to join the Sports scene considering there isn't a system to find the best 2K players at the moment. Also looking to enter the Xenoblade series as people are enjoying the game right now

I liked season 2 better than 1, but your opinion seems to be the majority. I liked that it answered some questions, even if it didn’t leave on a cliffhanger like the previous. Never heard of Black Mirror maybe I’ll give that a try.

Well I listen to almost anything, except country. If you don't know about them, you should check out Dirty Heads and RDGLDGRN.

Anybody else a fan of Brandon Sanderson? The 3rd book in the Stormlight Archive is out. I would have started it when it came out last month, but I figured it was a good thing to put on Christmas lists for people, so that's what I did. I started it last night.

I didn’t hate the new Star Wars but I nearly fell asleep twice. It felt like a lazy story line to me. They chose to answer major questions from TFA with simple write offs rather than a grand twist of the “Luke, I am your father!” variety.
It was an action movie made for entertainment rather than a brilliant screenplay. So I can’t hate it. I just wasn’t very entertained.

I enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire books much more than the Game of Thrones show but the world he creates is so spread out and detailed that you can’t expect a TV show to capture everything. With that in mind I do enjoy the show but encourage anyone who watches to read the books.
It’s hard to come home from work and watch a lot of serious drama. I need something that doesn’t require a lot of attention. So I have mainly been binging a lot of old stupid sitcom comedies that I never watched when I was young. Most recently I watched Sports Night on Hulu and 3rd Rock From the Sun on Amazon Prime.
Sports Night ended WAAAAYY too soon but it’s end gave way to The West Wing. So I can’t complain.
3rd Rock is soooo stupid but it does get enough good laughs out of me to keep me watching when I just need to relax.

First two seasons are very good. But I quit watching after the first episode of third season - complete change of plot and scenery. From dirty streets to international spies schemes? GTFO.
As for music, I'm into hip-hop. But I despise modern commercial ****, so Lil Yachtys, Drakes, Migoses and all other 21 Savages and Uzi Verts can just go to hell as far as I'm concerned. My this year's top 10 is still in the making (the year is not too great) but I'm sure to include "Laila's Wisdom" by Rapsody and Ill Camille's "Heirloom" (go, ladies!), Vince Staples, Cunninlynguists, Anti-Lilly & Phoniks, Yelawolf, Big KRIT, "Local Cafe" by Eric Biddines, maybe G Perico's "All Blue", $ha Hef, JID, Jam Baxter, Wiley, Ramson Badbonez, new Statik Selektah's album seems very OK. Deeper underground **** includes for example Ankhlejohn's and Pacific Standard's albums. Unfortunately for some reason I just can't make myself to like "DAMN" although I'm a fan of K-Dot since "Season 80".

Mind hunters is on my list. I’m glad to see someone promote it as I haven’t heard much yet.
