With that said I wouldn't trade for him by no means, if he decides on his own that he will be willing to come here for money and bring leadership to this young team then I'll take him. After watching the clip of him being traded to Cleveland his somewhat exact words were "at least they didn't trade me to some bum as* team" probably not word for word, but the meaning is all the same.

We currently are a bum as* team and it will be the Ibaka situation (or worse) all over again.

I could get behind any of the following rotations..

Isiah
Doncic
Isaac
Gordon
Vucevic or Biyombo

Isiah
Simmons
Issac
Gordon
Ayton

Isiah
Porter
Issac
Gordon
Vucevic or Biyombo

I feel like Fournier is as good as gone.

Porter a SG? Really? Assuming no Trae Young, I like your second unit with Ayton best of the 3! However, I'd start Ross and bring Simmons off the bench as the 6th man roll he excelled in early on this season. IT and Gordon as the go-to guys and slashers, Isaac and Ross as the spot up shooters, and all starters (minus IT) as defensive specialists! Maybe behind IT, that team could grow a pair and be cut throat!

With Cleveland’s slide lately I wonder how much they’re prepared to break that team up, or if they’ll ride it out expecting LeBron to leave? Surely any move they make they’ll want to future proof themselves somewhat in the event he goes.

Don't really like the idea of aggressively shopping Evan, he's a solid player on a decent contract that will slot in well on a new team that's built better than ours. I don't mind moving him for the right deal but aggressively shopping him makes me think we'll move him for a low return.

My dream situation would be getting Middleton.

If we do move both Evan and Payton it will be interesting to see how our defence pans out, I'm of the belief that a lot of our issues start with our guards not being able to cover their own man and getting lost in any screen or pick and roll situation which further exposes are weak interior d (when vuc is on especially) and just makes the issues way worse than they should be. If we can get some competent defenders at the guard spots I'll be watching keenly to see if that changes.

I don’t see how trading Middleton for Evan isn’t a lateral move for the Magic, and don’t really see how that benefits Milwaukee.

Exactly! Not to mention how much more than Fournier we'd have to give up just to get Middleton.

At this point, trading Evan should be exclusively for future assets like picks or young players. That or part of a larger deal between multiple teams.

Why wait till now to sell? Why not this past summer?

I hate the wasted time...

We knew this complete combination was an equation for a top 5 pick. With a great draft class coming in it makes sense to use your new management team as an excuse to disguise yet another tank as a "learning and evaluating" process.

Sucks to live through another crappy season but if it finally lands us our star then so be it.

I was going to respond to Darth, but decided not to. Why complain? Sure, I get it. Losing sucks!!! But we're currently sitting at pick 1 or 2, and people aren't happy with that? Finally we are on course to a top 3 pick in a draft that is supposed to produce several super stars!

The belief that Weltman and Hammond are some kind of clairvoyant duo requires more faith than I can muster.

We could have guaranteed our current position by trading away our mismatched talent last summer... and saved ourselves a bunch of embarrassment.
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

Who did you expect we trade away and what did you expect in return?

I don’t see many teams lining up to give us stars or even expiring contracts for Evan, Vuc or Biz. So we would be trading one hefty contract for another. Is a new management team so sure they know which is best to hang on to and which is best to get rid of from day one?

At least with this roster we are confident in a top 5 pick in a top heavy draft.

Saying “we shoulda traded ‘em!” is easy. But you have to actually find a deal... not every deal is worth it.

Fournier responds to the rumor with a career high.
Payton responds with a stinker.
"Is this anything?"

Post game Vogel said he had EP at the table and then DJ made some plays. EP n Vogel made eye contact and EP agreed to let DJ Close it out. Super selfless of EP to do that, still somewhat hope we can sign him to a cheap deal for that backup spot.

6 pts, 3 ast, 3 tov, -7... that's a bad game for him.

That's not a source though. Just a general Twitter basketball account. Clarkson is meh to me. Always liked Lou Williams more on those Laker teams, glad to see Lou is killing it in Clipperland.

Clarkson... another overrated me first chucker who wants to come to the Magic in hopes of being "The man". No thanks.

Not sure what moving Elf accomplishes other than forcing us into a corner and having to either draft or overpay a starting PG this offseason. Now is definitely the time to move Fourneir and Vuc though.

Cleveland could use Fournier big time right now... but would they be willing to give up that pick... Orlando would prob have to take smith and TT also...

Doubt it... have seen crazier things though. Nets pick value = D Jordan IMO.

Don’t really see us going after long term contracts though. Could see us try to get younger players or players not happy (Hill Noel)
