Adreian Payne Waived From Two-Way Deal

The Magic waived Adreian Payne yesterday due to the ongoing MSU scandal.

They will not be able to sign another two-way player to replace him as that deadline has expired.

yeah saw this.

Weird they didn't seem to know about the past allegations. Maybe they did and did not care because it wasn't relevant to anyone else...then it was. Smh.

The allegation was out there but never proven.

I don't think The Magic wanted to be associated with a player who was attached to this especially given how he was only a two-way player.

Must be **** for payne of he didn't do anything. As far as i know nothing was proven. Maybe he did it but being falsely accused of something like this would be terrible

Let’s be honest, even if the accusations against him are false, it’s not like he was ever going to be a productive nba player anyways. I would rather our G-league spot go to a young prospect

There's literally video of him talking to the police admitting it.

Kinda funny that Keith Appling was the other one involved. It's almost like we sought out 2 fringe talents with rape accusations to sit on our bench at various points.

ah ok i didn't know that, the report I read just said he was accused and they claimed they couldn't prove anything at the time but now it's being re examined because of the other stuff going on.

my comment was more generalised too, must be terrible for the ones who are falsely accused, if he did it though he needs more than just his nba career ruined.
