Trade Deadline Thread

Huge week coming up (hopefully) so I thought I'd make a thread where we can all discuss it. Alot of buzz about the possibility of AG and Elf getting moved. In my opinion, Elf and Evan are the two that will get moved at the deadline. Ideally, we could find a home for Biyombo and Augustine too but I think that's less likely to happen.
This board is going to meltdown if we stand pat.

Not that I'd vote for it, but I feel like there'd be some people that would vote for a "trade everyone" option.

Technically, your allowed 5 choices so you could vote for Elf, Evan, AG, Vuc, and other and it would count as that lol

Thanks dude! I feel like Elf days are numbered and he’s on managements priority move list. Could see him being moved to a team like Denver for a SRP and marginal player like Beasley.
Aaron Gordon isn’t going anywhere unless someone is offering the farm (doubtful).
I think one of Augustine/Mack definitely get moved. A lot of teams could use what they provide and could get them close to nothing.
I sense none of our bigs get moved (Vuc/Biyombo) especially with one of Vucs biggest suitors nabbing Monroe for free.
Ross isn’t being moved due to injury and could be a solid rotational piece going forward for us.
Fournier is the biggest mystery to me. Even though early reports say he’s on the block I doubt management gives him away for anything less than a decent FRP or slight overpay and might just keep him until a decent offer arises. He could be a great mentor to a player like Doncic.

Voted EP and Evan for most likely to be traded, but I want everyone to be traded.

http://hoopshype.com/2018/02/04/three-potential-trade-packages-for-nikola-vucevic/1) Bucks (Vucevic)
Brogdon (IR)
Brown
Tele
2) Portland (Vucevic/Hezonja)
Myers Leonard
Zach Collins
‘18 FRP
3) Washington (Vucevic)
Gortat
‘18 FRP (Lottery protected)
I like Brogdon, but I think I’ll take the Portland deal.

I hope we keep Elf as a backup. Don't see WeHam doing it though.

With the recent connections to these big name players I could see Orlando doing something out of left field and trading for a player like Deandre Jordan/IT etc.

Hope we trade: Evan, Biz, DJ, Mack, Ross. Anyone with 8 figure salary.
Hope we don't trade: Isaac, AG, Birch.
Inevitably will retire with Orlando: Vucevic

yeah Id be ok with Portland deal
As I have stated only 192029 times only realistic deal I would make with Wizards is for Oubre and yeah Id add value and take a bad contract too.

I'm holding out hope for the Brooklyn pick from Cleveland. If DJ isn't on the table, I could see them being interested if we make both Fournier and Vooch available and are willing to take Thompson.

Is a late lotto pick really worth that much? Thompson is dead weight while Evan and Vuc are serviceable and productive.

Late lotto? Pick is currently at #8 and 2.5 games out of the #1. The potential of the pick alone is worth eating Thompson’s contract.
I’ll do that in a heartbeat and might actually add to it.
Two high lottery picks this draft is worth it to me. Especially if we land two top 5 picks.
We could easily be in position to draft both Ayton/Doncic & Bamba/Young.
Worst case scenario the pick drops to at worst #10 and even then we will be in position to draft a Bridges/Knox/Sexton along with our pick.
We will then be rebuilding around (2) ‘18 FRP’s, Gordon, Isaac and prospects like Iwundu/Birch which isn’t bad with all things considered.

I feel we will be involved with whatever Cleveland ends up doing at the deadline whether it be trading with them directly or being involved in a multi-team deal. Something has to give with this Magic roster at some point.

Agreed. While Brooklyn doesn't have any incentive to tank, they're still a very likely top 10 pick and puts us in the Sexton/Bamba/Knox/Bridges area. It would be worth it. If we come away from the draft with either a Doncic or Young/Bamba or Ayton or Porter/Sexton combo, combining that with AG and Isaac, we suddenly have a strong core moving forward.

That would actually be a pretty nice reset. I hope we can keep Hezonja with the core young guys, AG/Isaac. Iwundu/Birch show promise

Also with adding Thompson, and a potential big man in the draft, you gotta think Biyombo needs to be moved. Maybe to Dallas for Noel?

I wish we had Mario for another year, but after not picking up his option, I don't see any chance he would stay here. Unless we're willing to give him substantially more money than another team. I think it's more likely Mario is used as trade filler. We might as well get whatever we can for Mario because I don't see why he would want to stay here for any reason.
