Tbh, late firsts and early second rounders are the same thing. Its not flashy but if hes on the way out then atleast we get another cheap rookie deal to fill out the roster.

2nd round pick right now is slotted at 36.

Shoulda kept saric. So much wasted time developing elf. Had a starting role since the get go and never was consistent. Not like he didnt have opportunity. Dont really feel as bad for this trade as the others. Now we look poised for trae young. At least Dj and mack are terrible and will cost us wins.

and we didnt use them last year
guess this means we draft at least 1 PG this summer.

Count me excited!! A second round pick assures us another Wesley Iwundu/Omal Mccaskill level prospect. Geez, at least Payton’s a sure fire NBA player. The enhancing of our draft position has begun.

Here's the thing -- I think EP is a decent pg and will get better. However, if the organization doesn't think that and wants to move on its better to take whatever you can get now and it also helps with the tanking. If they have already made the decision not to resign in the offseason if we don't move him now we will not get anything in return.
Still makes me a bit sad though.
