Free agent Rashad Vaughn is signing a 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic, league sources tell Yahoo.
21 years old. 17th overall few years ago. Why not?
Also seen Raptors have interest in Afflalo. Wonder if that happens next.

As far as I'm concerned, the season ended like 4 months ago

I thought he was picked up by NOLA. I feel as though he would have done great there.... especially with their weakness at the SG position. needless to say.... i like this pick up. Have always liked him.

Former Buck, looks like the management team wants to see if they still see what they saw when they drafted him.

Here’s a challenge for you.
Just try, for one post, to put a positive slant on something. Just try, please. Indulge yourself - you might quite like it.

Re: The Orlando Magic sign Rashad Vaughn to a 10-day contract
Its not only us that signed a player to a 10 day contract today but other teams as well
Pelicans- Walter Lemon Jr
Pacers- Trey Mckinney Jones
Suns- Shaquille Harrison
Trail Blazers- Brandon Rush
Knicks- Troy Williams
I'm guessing with us since John Hammond was apart of the draft process with the Bucks when they drafted Rashad Vaughn if he does fine on his 10 day contract, The Magic are going to either give him a 2nd 10 day contract or sign him for the rest of the season. He's supposed to have a lot of potential left being only 21 years old and drafted 17th in the 2015 draft.

Re: The Orlando Magic sign Rashad Vaughn to a 10-day contract
Managed to get some insight from Bucks fans. Take it for what it is, even though the season hasn’t turned out how we hoped.. I still like to provide you guys with info when I can.
“Didn't get much of an opportunity. When he did play sometimes he'd hit a shot or two. Seems like a goofball. Maybe being traded and cut will be a wake up call but it never appeared to me like he took it seriously.”
“He never got much of a chance here but when he did he wasn't good. Had a couple of decent games but was never good enough to crack regular minutes in the rotation.”
“His confidence appears broken. Young. Appears to be a good guy; the kind of fella you’d want your daughter to date. Doesn’t have a killer instinct. The right coach might be able to blossom his ability.”
“He was YOUNG when he got drafted. Not only was he a year removed from HS, but he was a LOT younger than his peers. But he flat out wasn't ready in Y1 or Y2 (at least the first half of the season of S2). He was supposed to be a shooter but would turn down wide open looks. He improved into his 3rd year but I think the team had largely written him off by then and never really got his shot as the option was declined pretty early.
I never liked him. He played scared when he was on the floor. The game was just too fast for him (keep in mind, he really only got a shot as a 19 year old without NBA range; over half his NBA min were his rookie season). But other people saw glimpses, especially towards the tail end. His shot finally added a little range out to the line and he is a decent, if streaky, shooter. Has a LITTLE wiggle if he is closed out on but isn't much of a ball handler. Needs to work on his defense a little but could become a viable 3&D player in time. He is still only 21.
I think he is the kind of guy you want on your 2-way deals/10 days. Young with some upside and a path to be a useful role player. Can't imagine its likely he could be much more than that.”
“I think he definitely has NBA rotation player talent. He really sucked his first two years. Showed signs of improvement this year, but wasn't in the team's long term plans and got buried. Has shown flashes of decent defensive potential. Will have some games where his shot falls. Isn't completely worthless as a ballhandler for a SG. He's just never put it together (especially as a shooter, which is what he was drafted for) and clearly there are serious focus/intensity issues.
He's one of those guys I could see falling out of the league but eventually working his way back and settling into a decent role off some team's bench.”
“He's a shooter that can't shoot. Case closed.
We need shooting in the worst way and in three years he couldn't develop a shot. He brings nothing else the table like passing, rebounding, lock down defense, etc.”
“He's a good dancer in the huddle”
“Vaughn got over 1000 minutes in his rookie year and was one of the worst rookies/players ever. He occasionally gave you a glimmer of hope but never delivered on it.”
“Never a lockdown defender, but he looked capable the last two years. But yeah, his shot never translated to the NBA.”

eh he's only 21, worth a 10 day and see what he's got in practice doubt he sees a lot of court time.

That alone is worth the signing.
