Congrats to T-Mac on the NBA and Orlando Magic Hall of Fame's!! Well deserved.

Two big what if's:

What if, Tim Duncan joined him here that off season we chased him? We'd have some championships

What if, he stayed in Orlando and gave Dwight a chance?

hard to believe he was only here for 4 seasons. wished he stayed and his back held up... oh well. I will never forget when he lit up Gilbert and the Wiz for 62, or when he punted the ball in the stands.

Yea I remember a few years ago taking a look back at his stats and being completely flabbergasted that he was only here 4 years. Felt like he was here just as long as Dwight (who was here twice as long), when in reality his tenure was as short as Shaq's. :(

Am I remembering correctly that T-Mac said that if we drafted Okafor, he would stay?

He did, which brings the question should we have done? Would Okafor and McGrady have been worked out?

I like how we still honor the greats while keeping integrity of not retiring a jersey.

Hope we extend this to coaches and other Orlando contributors.

I disagree. He wanted to leave unless we got a veteran star. I remember him saying to the media when they asked him who he would prefer as #1 pick that he didn't know who these guys were. Something like "IDK who Okafor is, IDK who Dwight is, IDK who these guys are". He was shortly traded.

With that said, Tmac hall of game well deserved. Too bad every star we have leaves in bad terms. Interesting thing, do we go to the finals if Tmac stays? Prob not because his back was too far gone.

Don't really care. He loves Orlando when he's talking to Orlando media... then jumps on ESPN2 to laugh at them.
