This is a classic trap game , in reverse. I cannot see Orlando winning this given how likely they are to win.

It's crazy how many guys Memphis has resting or sitting out with minor injuries. I hope they win.

Orlando could use "reverse analytics" in this game.

Funnily enough this is exactly the sort of game the Magic would either lose or struggle to an ugly win in the Dwight era where wins were plentiful.

We could do with that again tonight because Marc Gasol needing ‘rest’ is just ridiculous.

They have a g-league team playing today.

We're going to get out-tanked today.

Just be ready for Dante’s post-game interview with Vuc where he asks questions about how the team can build on this exciting winning streak.

So is the future bright for us? As we pummel the Heabyweight Grizz with our vets of DJ,Evan and Vuc?

This sucks. I can't see us losing this game unless we are tired from last night. I will just hope to see AG and Isaac on the floor together and maybe Frank doesn't play the starting PG almost the whole game.

It is annoying but those guys have a firm opinion that tanking does not do anything for a team. They had a podcast on it and brought up interesting points that backed their stance.

That being said, this draft is the last one you can really tank, and the top 5 is really an ideal spot for us. Top 7 is looking like a must, but we shall see. There is always a guy like Donovan Mitchell out there who can be had in later picks.

Anyway, I want us to lose as much as possible while playing with effort. That has actually been happening a lot more lately, so it is nice to see the players fighting hard. In seasons past, guys were giving up after the 1st quarter.

I listened to that same podcast and I understand their arguments as well as other arguments against tanking but I’m afraid I think we’ve seen those other arguments not apply to the Magic over the last five years. For example, building this supposed winning culture by winning a few meaningless games towards the end of each season has led to nothing in terms of winning when it matters.

I actually wouldn’t have a problem if we win out if we did it by playing younger guys / seeing what Rashad Vaughn has to offer / playing Iwundu and Birch etc. I don’t see what winning games with Augustin, Mack, Fournier and Vuc as four of the five finishers will do for us for next season other than put us in a worse position for the lottery.

I bet if you asked any of those guys like Dante behind closed doors what they really thought about tanking right now. They’d absolutely say yes, it wouldn’t be a good look for your home town announcing crew to talk pro tanking stuff. IMO tho
