We actually have to win to get into the 6-7 range in order to get Young. Otherwise, WeHam will out think themselves and draft a headscratcher like JJJ.

Looking above the bad 2016 decline looks great in perspective.

Re: 2018 Draft / Tank Thread 3.0
John Hammond on MDT today. Tidbits:
- Will take BPA, not really considering "fit" (as expected)
- Will put premium on length/athleticism and shooting; spoke a bit on how important shot-making will be (drafting a scorer would be refreshing)
- Feel confident about getting a good player in the draft (I've heard this one before)
- Isaac's offseason will be about getting stronger and building an "NBA body" (wholeheartedly agree)
- Want Isaac to become an all-star, but Isaac's approach to off-season will tell how much he wants to be great (sure)

With our second 1st round pick I hope we take Shai Gigleous Alexander. He will be better than both Sexton and Young. I'm hoping Hammond sees MCW and Weltman sees Delon Wright type body and nab him.
Have you seen SGA play today? He vor the deer in the headlights look and was a non factor in a very crucial game where they needed hom to step up
Yes I saw an 18 year old kid on the biggest stage of his life have an off night. Have you watched any of his other games?
Yes.. and while he is ok, he needs to go back to school to develop his game. He gives mes the Payton vibe. Tallish PG that can drive and distribute. In college EP was known to be an ok-defender as well so I dunno... 3pt shooting is somewhat suspect.

These are contradictory points but sure.
It’s not like he would ever say “yeah we feel like player A is better, but we decided to go with the lesser player B because he fits better.”

Those things in bold definetly indicate they are either taking Bagley, Jaren Jackson Jr, Mikal Bridges, Shai Alexander or Kevin Knox. Staying away from Trae Young or Colin Sexton. So they are looking for a Wing or someone that can play both forward and guard.

I didn't really perceive it like that. More so that they want the BPA. And that they typically like players that exude such qualities that may qualify them for that designation. He really did put an emphasis on shot-making.

I feel similarly about Trae Young.
FWIW, Trae Young is still liking tweets about him landing in Orlando.

Can you show that is he not liking tweets about landing with any other team likely drafting high? Unless it’s exclusive this really just says he’s excited about joining the NBA.

I dont buy that BPA thing he says.
If he really meant that ...they should have gut the team and do a proper tanking like atl phx memphis are doing then you can talk about bpas unless its so generic for him he doesnt see difference at no 2 bpa and number 10 bpa.
to me either his logic is seriously flawled or he doesnt really mean what he says.

I'm telling y'all, give me Doncic/Porter Jr/Mik Bridges and move back up into round 1 for Jalen Brunson.

So Grayson... this guy fascinates me and I just realized why.
My favorite PG of the 90's was John Stockton.
He was gritty and dirty.
I don't think Grayson is on the same level as a Stockton but then again I don't know what Stockton was like on College.

Kevin O’Conner from the ringer has a really punchable face.
Doesn’t really pertain to this thread but whatever.

Re: 2018 Draft / Tank Thread 3.0
I feel pretty good that we are going to get a good player. I think we will finish with a top5 pick unless we win the lottery. My order right now goes;
1). Ayton
2). Bagley
3). Michael Porter
4). Luka
5). JJJ or Bamba
I would still like to have Trae Young on this team but understand if we pass on him for a more talented player if our pick is too high. There are some other PG in this draft that I would love to have. Give me Jevon Carter or Jalen Brunson and Im good.
We need to address our PG rotation and ship out Vucs soft a** and find his replacement.

Re: 2018 Draft / Tank Thread 3.0
If Villanova makes the final 4 and/ or goes further and Mikal Bridges is on the board, We are drafting Mikal Bridges IMO there's no discussion or debate. Bagley, Porter and JJJ will be gone when we on the clock. If Ayton or Bamba is on the board, We are not drafting either guy. Trae Young and Colin Sexton get almost all the attention as the top 2 point guards in this draft but I don't think that's a lock, Jalen Brunson will have something to say about that. I actually would like to see both Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson come to our team. We can draft both guys and declare them BPA at our pick and we fill our 2 needs at the same time.

Lol with the way his stock plummeted lately, he better be liking all indications that a top5 team is gonna pick him
