Voted JJJ but I see it as whoever falls -> JJJ Bagley or Porter Jr.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I hope we get Doncic. I vote we get the 3rd pick and take Bagley.

Doncic and Ayton appear to be the prizes of the draft. Odds are the Magic fall somewhere between 3-6. I think it'll be Marvin Bagley or Trae Young. Or maybe I'm just projecting my own wishes. I don't know anymore. I just want the Magic to prioritize shot-making and playmaking.

Doncic makes most sense for us.

That tryhard win against the Suns is killing us. Vogel tryharded in the final game of last season to hurt our position by a slot, and he's in line to do some serious damage again. We could fall to #5 regardless if we all lose and we lose the tiebreakers, but we need to at least give ourselves a chance at #3. If Vogel wins that final game by playing our "good" players, he better go suck whoever's...feet he needs to suck in order to get us a decent pick.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

After the Orlando and Memphis losses, we now have:

20-Phoenix
22-Memphis

24-Atlanta
24-Orlando
24-Dallas

26-Sacramento

The consequence of this is Orlando cannot be caught by Memphis and that Sacramento cannot catch Orlando. The Kings will be deleted. It is now certain that Orlando will slot 3, 4, or 5. Or split amongst those three.

Lottery games for tonight:
Phoenix @Dallas
Philadelphia @Atlanta

Who are we picking?

Statistically the most probable slot for the Magic to draft given today's standings is 5. At 5, perhaps Porter Jr. if he slides or Jackson Jr. if not. Hmm: I guess I will tab Jackson Jr. as he ticks the two boxes of GM Hammond's interest: length and shooting. I am not against this as rookie C's can be ok.

Instantly Orlando must access a PG to develop. Would Vučević get a Sexton or Gilgeous-Alexander, and if not does Khyri Thomas have enough upside to start in a couple years? Or perhaps the Magic packages Vučević with their 2019 1st to Cleveland to get Young. Let's go for that. Shift Birch to PF (which has worked well). And draft a NCAA big with a second, such as Chimezie Metu.

2018/19 Magic:
Augustin/Young/Mack
Fournier/Ross/Iwundu
Isaac/Simmons
Gordon/Birch
Jackson/Biyombo/Metu

So, last game is Washington who has incentive to win and possibly move up to get Boston, instead of TOR in 1st round. If I'm seeing it right, our only chance to actually improve our spot is if somehow Dallas (who has incentive to lose) beats PHO (who has no incentive to lose and might enjoy ending their pathetic season with a W)....Personally, I hope we get the worst odds and still win the lottery for maximum drama and gnashing of teeth on this forum. :banghead:

since we are in a 3-way tie, doesnt that mean statistically that Dallas and Atlanta also slot for 5? and i dont know that i would call Jackson JR a shooter, he only takes 6 shots per game.

We need to lose vs Wiz, Dallas and Atlanta to win.

I voted Doncic, get 3rd or 4th pick, move up to 2 during lottery.

Your head tells you we beat the odds, win the lotto and move up to take Doncic? Or Your head tells you Doncic falls in the draft?
