The Orlando Magic Fire Head Coach Frank Vogel (ESPN Woj)

Orlando's new front office of president Jeff Weltman and general manager John Hammond will begin a search immediately for a new head coach. -Woj
Nurse and Stackhouse could become candidates for Orlando’s coaching job. Nurse is well-regarded in the industry. Stackhouse coaches the Raptors’ G-League team, and that squad won the league title last season and once again has advanced to the G-League finals.
Other possibilities could include former New Orleans Hornets coach and former Magic player Monty Williams, who is well-liked by the Magic’s owners, the DeVos family; former Memphis Grizzlies coach David Fizdale; and current Charlotte Hornets coach Steve Clifford if the Hornets make a coaching change.

Besides last night's win, the thing I'm disappointed with Frank the most is, in game adjustments. He failed big time there the last two seasons.

I hope we don’t lose the whole staff too. Forcier seemed like he was doing good things behind the scenes.

Praying real hard that my guy Chad Forcier not only remains here but gets a chance to be the head coach here. Getting a raise at my job today and that clown ass coach Frank Vogel is gone. Today is going to be GLORIOUS!

This is fine and all, but it's becoming insanity to keep blaming the coaches for the past 7 years.

This is phase one. Next phase is getting the right guy for the job and then we can deal with the recurring problem which is our flawed losing roster.

now hire good coach, promise to mario that he will be starter, sent mario to dancing club to learn dancing
give him good coaching 3's, attacking the rim and PG role
in preseason start him all the time as PG
and yes, sign AG at reasonable price
win 3rd lottery pick
and that's it

He made a fool out of me. I was thrilled to suddenly be rid of Skiles and get Vogel. Still thrilled Skiles left sooner rather than later, but Vogel wasn't good. Obviously our roster hasn't been great, but you can just tell by watching the games and listening to him that he's not what you want.
In contrast, any time Forcier talked, I liked what I hear. He's my preference to take over. I don't know what the chances are of that happening. Probably not very high. I don't believe in retreads that never had much success, so I'd prefer Stackhouse or Nurse over Monty Williams or Steve Clifford.

This isn't a surprise, I'm gutted they didn't shut the starters down. Jerry Stackhouse is my choice, keep Forcier, draft BPA and lets go from there

I mean the players are getting traded year after year as well. The only huge constant since the beginning of the rebuild has been Vucevic.
It just so happens that every coach has been a complete disaster, just like most of the roster.

I’ve been praising Brett Brown since his first season in Philly. It’s not about the wins and losses.

The issue is that coaches know that the Magic job is volatile as **** and the job security will be something that isn't guaranteed.
I can see a first time head coach like Stack accepting a position rather than a FIzdale type, but who knows.

Right. So the smart play would be to get rid of Vuc and change whoever is making the decisions at the top (Martins maybe?). He doesn't need to be fired necessarily, just take the damn decision-making stick out of his hands.
