It’s hard for me to have any enthusiasm for the coaching search knowing there’s no sure fire game changers out there. No Pat Riley’s, no Steve Kerr’s, etc, unless we’d pry Doc Rivers from LA, and I’m not sure he’s worth it either. I just hope they don’t promote from within. These great assistants we had contributed to 25 wins. None deserve to be head coaches. We don’t need another Jacque Vaughn clone either, a tank captain. Let’s start turning this thing around now. I’d be ok with a Jay Wright, or a David Fizdale, someone with a proven track record is what’s needed here.

We need a coach who doesn't hate young players. Someone who will develop players. Hold players accountable. Make in game adjustments.

Forget about big names. Find a smart alpha personality that understands the modern NBA.

That would be an option... lol... but seriously, there has to be some up and coming assistants or college coaches that fit the bill... hopefully.

Well I know some have mentioned Jay Wright, but there's probably less than a 5% chance of that. A college coach who I really liked is Chris Mack, formerly of Xavier. But the Louisville Cardinals hired him 3 weeks ago. Also Eric Mussleman from Nevada. Gregg Marshall at Wichita State.


Sam Cassell and Jerry Stackhouse might be worth a look.
