poll: MVP of Orlando this season
There are a lot of dissenting voices on Magic players, but there were highlights. So let's voice our positivity.
Who was your MVP for Orlando this season?
Players are ranked by PER (deleting the stat artifact of Adreian Payne).

How about the recently fired training staff for doing a great job keeping players more injured.

Voted Birch. I foresee a trend of more international signings.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Re: poll: MVP of Orlando this season
I voted for Birch, but tbh, I think DJ was the best player on the team this year. I know others put up better numbers, but DJ had the best season of his entire career this year and was very consistent, regardless of what we asked him to do.

Re: poll: MVP of Orlando this season
AG for me. After the new year he was much lower in efficiency, but he still brought the best combo of offense + defense throughout the season.
I'd say Evan is our best offensive player easily, and Isaac is easily our best defensive player.

AG for the definition of "MVP"
But I gave it to Hezonja because he's the only one that exceeded my expectations. The rest were par for course or worse.

His PER was below the threshold that RealGM allows on polls.

Re: poll: MVP of Orlando this season
This poll is depressing... our "MVP" shot 38% FG on 16 FGA/ 27% 3PT on 6 3PA in 2018 and played lazy defense all season. 2nd place is our backup PG who most would trade for nothing if given the opportunity. 3rd place might walk in free agency despite most wanting to keep him.
The real MVP was Vogel for getting himself fired earlier than expected. Job status went from "safe" to "no comment" to fired in a span of a couple months... not an easy task.

Re: poll: MVP of Orlando this season
I think Birch would have been it if he hadn't played such limited minutes. He certainly showed he can be a legitimate player in the NBA.
I voted DJ. Career year, highest win share on the team, and really played well both before and especially after the Elfrid deal.

That many think Birch is Orlando's MVP makes me sad for the Magic moving forward. And excited for Birch as he develops.
