To me, the only way we should max him is if he comes with a MAX offer sheet.

I agree. I don’t know the climate but I feel like he’ll get one

I'm not so sure. People are looking around at teams who have been maxing players out on potential and now cap strapped. Think Washington would max out Porter again? What about Memphis and Parsons? Dieng in Minny will make $16/yr for 3 more years. Brooklyn with Crabbe at $19mil. Tyler Johnson in Miami $19mil/yr for the next 2 years. I dont think AG gets a max offer.

its possible he won`t. But i wouldnt discount the fact that he is more marketable than any of those players becuse of his highlight reel plays. If he can bring fans to the game, and make some go gaga over him, I dont see why not.

Who are we signing/trading for that maxing Gordon out would not be worth the risk for? We're not getting any big time free agents until we start trending upwards, and we would need Gordon as a primary trade chip for a star player in a trade. I see no downside to keeping Gordon at any and all costs, I see nothing but negatives on the other side.

Do you see Lavine getting a max offer? because he makes more highlight reel plays in games than AG imo.

A lot can happen in four years.
Who knows, whoever we draft can lead us to the playoffs and we`ll immediately be in win-now mode.

who is going to offer him that $20M/yr? Not a lot of teams have money to spend. and if teams are serious on their spending to improve their teams, why lock up that cap space, for 3 days, on a player that will likely be matched.
I think he gets what Evan got.
