Then snag Bagley and Young? I'm on board.

For me... snag porter and bamba.... I'm all on board.... sneaking my family on the train too. Average Standing reach of 9'4" between our SF, PF and C position.... To go along with athleticism to switch.... annnnnnd either elite or developable offensive games.

but that's just me playing along with the trade. haha

Legitimate question.

Why would Atlanta trade Bagley on a rookie deal for AG on a close to max deal?

Secondly, how future are we talking? This Orlando teams “future first” is going to be extremely valuable because of how terrible they are currently.

I thought he looked great last year, and I'll eat crow and admit I never had very high hopes for him.

I feel like you guys should match the max which I expect multiple teams to offer.

See if he and Isaac can play together. Even if they can't, the next step is rotate minutes. But all of that supposes that Isaac can be good enough to warrant such consideration. I think he has a good chance of getting there as a very talented prospect, but hasnt proven it yet. He could even br a versatile backup until he matures.

i dont see 1 team offering him the max, and I would not consider matching a max for him. Would have to think very long and hard on it

Nets, Kings, Bulls and potentially Pacers could offer him +22M ( would be close to max ) or full max.
Nets do it every year for few years now, did it with Porter last summer.

Bulls have Lauri, why would they offer Gordon?

OK on a serious note, here’s the mentality behind this. First a core of Vuc, Aaron and Fournier took home 25-57 record. You cannot build your team with these losers. I KNOW THEY ARE LOSERS BEFORE THE SEASON BEGAN (While most people here predicted a 35-40 win season, I predicted a generous 29 wins). Tear down from top to bottom!
1. Draft Bamba (best big behind Ayton)
2. Trade with the Suns who has the chance of drafting Mitchell Robinson (who is now developing to be a stretch 4 big. Per personal trainer in Dallas). Flip Vuc and Four for Dudley, Chandler (teach the bigs some toughness. Also vocal leaders who won’t mind the ‘The Process’), Bender (3pt big whose potential is still untapped)

Trade AG and Ross for Teague (a vet PG whom Augustin a fellow PG vet won’t have problem working with. He will be the best PG around for the price being offered) and Justin Patton (Young big and wide body as rim protection ala Hassan Whiteside potential).

Build the team with young players with length. Isaac, Bamba, Mitchell, Bender, Patton! You cannot teach height and athleticism.

Lauri can easly slide to C on offense, on defense, well that's story for another day.

I saw on Pacers tread that they found somwhere that Gordon will ask full max ( over $27M or something like that). I have no clue where that info comes from tho.

I say work a deal out with AG to sign for 16m a year and we'll agree to trade him to Lakers for Loul Deng and Brandon Ingram. Lakers get 8m in cap space and we get a young SF so Isaac can slide over to the 4.

Ag agrees so he can go back to California.
