I think we will draft at #5 and draft Porter or Young

We will get the 3rd pick and have the hardest decision in the draft. This is why you pay Gm's the big $$$

I had a dream last night that we ended up with the #2 pick. The other spots weren’t clear but #3 came up and Orlando was yet to be called and I went nuts. The next card showed Orlando.

I’ll take it. I’m going with #2 as my guess!

This isn’t a bad consolation scenario.

Unfortunately this scenario seems a bit high % to me as well. Hopefully that does not happen.

I wouldn’t mind it SO much if we had at least something close to elite scoring talent.

This why its the hardest, I would get one of Doncic-Young-JJJ. Others would be willing to take Bamba.

It's hardest because 90% of people have Ayton and Doncic 1&2 but #3 I've seen Bagley JJJ Young Bamba even MPJ. So legit 4 options to take. It's a good problem to have if you trust your scouts.

I hope it’s young or Doncic. I’d be happy with Bamba because I love his potential. With him and Isaac we’re near guaranteed to have a high level defense in prime years but would still lack that star offensive creator. I think most likely it’s Bamba but Young has superstar potential and I think we should take that chance if given the opportunity to pick him. His offensive game is so advanced for this point in his career it boggles my mind that he has so many doubters. I’m not guaranteeing a ceiling but I feel comfortable with his floor and that’s one of the top shooters in the league with a good feel for running an offense. Keep in mind with his %s how many of those shots are contested pull up jumpers. Imagine him playing some time off the ball in catch and shoot scenarios. We didn’t get to see much of that because Oklahoma had no one else that could create. We’re not much better by nba standards but still the talent of his teammates will improve drastically.

If we have the chance to land Doncic I’m in if the scouts believe it in the workouts. He obviously has crazy high skill to be such a well rounded player at that age. What is his ceiling? What is his floor? Those are hard questions to answer with such an unprecedented player. That alone makes me lean towards him being a success but I feel more certain with other players in this draft.

I feel confident we will come away with a major building block from this draft but I hope we maximize this opportunity.

There is after all a 29.2% chance for Orlando to draft top-3

My top 3

Doncic
JJJ
Bamba

Let's say Orlando draft third and Dončić is off the board, if WeHamm targets either Jackson or Bamba, I see a trade-down scenario. I could absolutely seeing the Hawks trading up for Bagley. What assets the Magic get added? Perhaps a top-10 protected first in 2020.
